We love this location, as well as the scenic spot in Poland. Beautiful space, friendly and attentive staff, imaginative cocktail menu, and of course a solid rotation of great beers. The food is excellent, it could stand alone as a restaurant, even without the craft beer. It may be the best part about the experience. If you've never been, it will surely exceed expectations.

My 200th brewery visit was to Nonesuch River Brewing Company LLC in Scarborough, ME for a flight+ & a pint to try some of their goods. Monday's are hard when it comes to the restaurant & brewery industry, not much is open. So while looking for a new spot around a hour away from my apartment I was happy to see that this place was open for lunch. My first trip here with zero expectations, I was excited to try a bunch of styles including a flight of all four IPA's they had on draft. Nonesuch River Brewing was founded in 2015 with two current taprooms, the other being in Poland, ME. I'm slowly making my way further & further into Maine doing my thing & am so excited for the chance to eventually get them all done like New Hampshire. Maine has around 175 breweries currently according to Google, so I definitely have my work cut out for me with about 135 left to do. 🍻πŸ”₯☘🀘

I scooped a flight of all four IPA's they offered to start off with the first taster being the WHAT HAD HAPPENED WAS Cold IPA. It was excellent for a cold IPA, a style I haven't completely taken to yet, but this was layered with flavor & super drinkable. My second 4oz was the IPA 2.0 NEIPA, it was just average & was missing something in my opinion. The third taster was the SPACE GHOST American IPA, this was a just above average IPA, a little too dry for my liking personally, but still good. My last 4oz in the flight was the LAUGH TRACK American IPA, a good IPA that was crisp, sweet, malty & piney. I scooped a pint of the RED ALE for the second round, I thought this was a excellent amber that was roasty, malty & sweet. My last beer was a taster of the SULLY DOG MILK STOUT, it had a lot going on, but was layered well with chocolate & caramel. My favorite beer hands down here was the RED ALE, it was pretty much perfect for the style it was repping. πŸ»πŸΊβ„πŸ”₯β˜˜πŸ†

I grabbed the house burger which was a hefty $25, it was a good super juicy burger, but $25 was a few dollars more than it was worth in my opinion. The restaurant & brewery is pretty big inside with a second floor area that I didn't even check out. There was all the seating options here including tables, hightops, bar seating & some tables outside during better weather. Our bartender was very accommodating & friendly making sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. There was some beer to go for home or tastings with friends later, but they only did 4-packs & didn't let you take singles unfortunately. A fun visit for sure & a great spot to hit for my 200th brewery, cheers! 🍻🍻πŸ”₯☘✌β™₯️🍺

I’ve been a local for 41 years and somehow never ate at Nonesuch. I am so glad we did today. The haddock sandwich, brisket pappardelle, fish and chips and onion strings were all expertly cooked. The fryer oil must be quite cleanβ€”speaking from my short order cook days. The tartar sauce was excellent.

If you avoid fried foods, this is worth the detour from your normal diet. Clean and fresh.

The fireplace was blazing, also a welcome sight.
