The best sushi around! We absolutely love this place
I've never thrown away Japanese food until now. It was awful. The drunken noodles had no flavor or much sauce and the egg and broccoli were burnt, black burnt. It tasted awful. There were very few veggies for the vegetable version. The teriyaki chicken was also super bland. If this is what is considered good food in the town you should move. Also a long wait for the food.
Bland flavors and 1 order of veggies tasted burnt. We expected more from the ratings we'd read.
The freshest sushi I've had in Maine!
Highly recommend.
Great quality fish, excellent service
Favorite local spot Great staff Great food
The food was absolutely garbage. The service was terrible. I was virtually waiting for someone to come over so I could ask him for another napkin. No one come over to check on me but one time that was it and then they brought a bill over at the end and I said could I order a dessert oh yeah you want dessert yeah I’d like to have a dessert. OK so they assumed I was done and the food was absolutely garbage garbage and the service was absolutely off the charts terrible. I would have honestly rather gone and starved to death than to eat at that place. I’ll never ever go back.
Wheelchair accessibility: There’s a ramp to get in, but do yourself a favor. Don’t use it to even go in because it’s absolute garbage.

Best Sushi I'm the area hands down. Huge specialty rolls, fantastic appetizers and a huge diverse menu. Always worth the visit! It can get pretty busy on weekends but seats open up quickly.

We enjoy our dining experience here. We mostly ordered apps. The edamame were sweet and salty, the shumai were stuffed with lots of shrimp, although the outside was cold, maybe due to the dipping sauce. The hamachi-no-kama was fabulous, perfectly cooked and juicy, and nice crispy, seared skin. The spring rolls were crispy and not greasy at all.
We also ordered yakiudon. The noodles were cooked perfectly, but we thought the dish a bit too greasy and there weren't as many vegetables as we'd have liked. Maybe try the yakisoba instead next time.
Our waiter was very courteous, pleasant, and attentive. Thank you! We thought our tab is reasonable. I would definitely recommend Oishi, and we'll be coming back!

I have eaten here several times. Always enjoyed the tuna roll and the sweet potato roll. I have eaten only tuna as sushi for years. Never have I sent it back, or questioned it. Yesterday at lunch (Dec 3rd) I order the usual tuna roll. First I noticed bland pale pink color, second it was very mushy. I ate 2 pieces and had to send it back. I ordered the sweet potato roll in place. I mentioned it to the manager and he later came out and said it’s a different part of the tuna, and that’s why the color and texture. Later that evening I started vomiting profusely, now almost 12 hours later still vomiting. Running a fever. Did a search on pale mushy tuna and it said it’s bad tuna and should not be consumed. It should be a deeper pink and not mushy. Ok. I’ve also been vomiting dark green bile and looked that up can be a sign of food poising. I called today to just let them know, spoke to Jay the manager whom I’ve always had good communication with, told him how sick I was and what I had read, and he informed me there was no way it was from the tuna. They only use reputable sources. I believe that, but things can get over looked, and then proceeded to argue with me so much so I could not get a word in. He did not one time acknowledge that I was absolutely ill and the only thing I ate yesterday was from there. I asked him to at least be warned and maybe not use that piece of fish and he again proceeded to say it’s not the fish. I told him I was going to write a review, he said go ahead, we don’t get bad reviews, and when I asked him to hear me out as he was yelling, then I yelled please listen, I don’t want anyone else sick, he hung up the phone in my ear. Not 1 time even considering my concern. This is why I’m giving a 1 star review. Again, I understand sushi can be risky, but to be completely dismissed and told it’s not their fish that could have done it, and then continued absolutely not wavering, I will not be going back, and I urge you to say something if the fish is off, especially when you’ve eaten it for years. I am in disbelief of treatment by this manager, especially after previous good interactions.

I've been several times now, and the food is always delicious and hot. We tried the mochi ice cream this time, which was also great. I wish this place was closer to home so we could have it more often!

The best hibachi by far in Maine. Maybe the best I’ve ever had. They cook their vegetables to perfection. The portions are very generous. I’ve recommended this place to several people and they all love it.
