This place has the potential to be good but it simply isn’t. While there’s a wide variety of coffee beverages and flavor options, they can’t seem to get an order right. Three of the last 4 times I have gone through the drive thru and ordered a WHITE mocha, raspberry iced coffee and instead got a mocha raspberry, a very different drink. Not to mention potentially dangerous if I had a cocoa allergy. The first time it happened, I said something and the young lady told me I ordered a mocha, though I definitely did not, but I let it go. It’s now happened twice more and I truly don’t understand how you can work at a coffee place and not know the difference between mocha and white mocha. Perhaps staff can be trained on this important distinction?? Beyond routinely paying $7 for a coffee I didn’t order, the wait in the drive thru is ridiculously long, even when there’s only one car in front of you. Might I suggest hiring additional staff or only allowing food orders at the counter inside?? A lot needs to change, and until it does, I won’t be back.

We used to frequent Scarborough Grounds quite often until we finally got fed up with the terrible attitudes of the staff. There’s no apology for mixed up orders, just eye rolls. Despite being regular customers, we have NEVER been greeted with a “hi” or a smile. I have never seen more people who seem completely inconvenienced to be helping a customer. One young lady who was working the coffee station mistakenly made the wrong one (and gave an attitude instead of sorry) and actually shouted at me as I went to dispose of the incorrect coffee in the trash. Nothing like being scolded by a snooty teenager first thing in the morning to start your day! Such a shame because it’s local, but we now go out of town to a much friendlier and inviting cafe, and trust me it’s worth the drive to get great service, great food and coffee in a very nice atmosphere!!

If I could give zero stars for service I would. Waited almost 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged to place my order and I was the only person at the counter. The young girl taking my order was downright rude. Yes it was busy, but friendliness does not cost anything. I then waited almost 10 minutes for a cup of cappucino which was just mediocre.

I’ve been to this coffee shop more times than I can count, and every time I end up leaving thinking ”why did I give this place another chance?”. First, the bagels are clearly plane-jane Hannaford bagels. Maybe it’s just me, but when I get breakfast out, I expect homemade, quality bagels/bread… otherwise, I could easily make this same breakfast at home for a fraction of the price. But honestly, that isn’t even my biggest qualm with this place. It’s the baristas. The customer service is just downright bad. Every time, without fail, I stand there at the counter waiting for the baristas to finish their personal conversations… which sometimes lasts literal minutes while a line of customers form waiting to place their order. I get it, you should have fun at work. But at the very least ACKNOWLEDGE the customer. If you’re busy, it’s as easy as saying “hey there, I’ll be with you in just a moment”. Instead, customer stand there feeling invisible while the baristas talk about the latest gossip. I have literally stood in front of the counter for so long that I’ve turned around and left because it wasn’t worth my time to wait. Have fun at work… but it shouldn’t have to be said that you’re there to work, which means the customer comes before your personal work relationships. I sincerely hope you take this feedback and improve, because I know I’m not the only one who notices this, considering every time I come here I exchange eye rolls with other customers as we all impatiently wait for service.

I ordered the Menu Item, Egg cheese and avocado on a ciabatta, and I got a sandwich if exclusively mashed avocado. This was very confusing and disappointing for my first time going.
The ‘go to’ place for coffee, eats & conversation. Friendly, professional, competent staff. Always feel welcome here.

I went through the drive thru today and ordered two breakfast sandwiches and one 16 oz drip coffee and one 16 oz chai latte for $28 total…when I received my $5 chai latte, apx half of the cup was filled with milk foam. I politely asked the gal to remake and she said she would. I waited for a bit and then she told me to come in to pick it up. Ok fine, I will but it was a little annoying as I was in the drive thru for a reason. I went inside and was handed a 16 oz chai latte cup and once again the cup was only half full again, by this time I am frustrated, and my order was remade a third time. Though better, it wasn’t a full 16 oz but whatever, I left and won’t be back. I am not one to typically care about the price of items, but this entire experience has left me a little bitter. If a customer orders a chai latte, just add more warm milk to the top, it’s not rocket science.

Great customer service with very knowledgeable staff. I really enjoy the changing of the drinks seasonally and Pamela always remembers my order, making it a true neighborhood Cafe!
The food/coffe is served fresh so if you are looking for "a fast food breakfast", Dunkin is right up the street.

Ordered the seasonal gingerbread latte, and could not taste the flavor at all and had some coffee grounds. Was also served incredibly hot and not drinkable for at least 10 minutes
