I have been coming here almost every weekend for over a year now and I absolutely love this place. The food and drinks are delicious, and the staff are wonderful. It can get busy (especially on Sundays when the farmer's market across the street is on) but everyone on staff handles it well while still making you feel valued. Will continue to return!

Long time regular turned scorned ex, my girlfriend and I decided to get a late breakfast here yesterday. It was rainy and slow (maybe 3 other people in the cafe), and we ordered two sandwiches and two lattes. Apparently, this angered the two women behind the counter who didn’t feel like having customers or doing their job. We are usually treated very kindly here- I did not recognize the two baristas and it could be that they are new- however as both me and my partner also work in food we understand the value of customer service. Our coffees were noticeably not what we are used to and we won’t be returning or giving them our business. This is our usual weekend spot.

Got time to kill and like waiting in your car for 20 minutes to get a cup of coffee? Well this is the place for you!! Like staff that never say sorry and act indifferent to you? Well swing on in!
This place has the potential to be good but it simply isn’t. While there’s a wide variety of coffee beverages and flavor options, they can’t seem to get an order right. Three of the last 4 times I have gone through the drive thru and ordered a WHITE mocha, raspberry iced coffee and instead got a mocha raspberry, a very different drink. Not to mention potentially dangerous if I had a cocoa allergy. The first time it happened, I said something and the young lady told me I ordered a mocha, though I definitely did not, but I let it go. It’s now happened twice more and I truly don’t understand how you can work at a coffee place and not know the difference between mocha and white mocha. Perhaps staff can be trained on this important distinction?? Beyond routinely paying $7 for a coffee I didn’t order, the wait in the drive thru is ridiculously long, even when there’s only one car in front of you. Might I suggest hiring additional staff or only allowing food orders at the counter inside?? A lot needs to change, and until it does, I won’t be back.

We used to frequent Scarborough Grounds quite often until we finally got fed up with the terrible attitudes of the staff. There’s no apology for mixed up orders, just eye rolls. Despite being regular customers, we have NEVER been greeted with a “hi” or a smile. I have never seen more people who seem completely inconvenienced to be helping a customer. One young lady who was working the coffee station mistakenly made the wrong one (and gave an attitude instead of sorry) and actually shouted at me as I went to dispose of the incorrect coffee in the trash. Nothing like being scolded by a snooty teenager first thing in the morning to start your day! Such a shame because it’s local, but we now go out of town to a much friendlier and inviting cafe, and trust me it’s worth the drive to get great service, great food and coffee in a very nice atmosphere!!

If I could give zero stars for service I would. Waited almost 10 minutes before I was even acknowledged to place my order and I was the only person at the counter. The young girl taking my order was downright rude. Yes it was busy, but friendliness does not cost anything. I then waited almost 10 minutes for a cup of cappucino which was just mediocre.
