We tried this out, and although my lobster roll was really tasty, and so was the bisque, the rest of the food was very hit or miss. Swordfish and lobster were both overcooked and tough, and one of the kids mocktails was pretty much just bitters, lemon juice, and mint. Compared to other places in the area, the prices are the same, but it was just ok and I felt like my money was better spent at some other places. Not horrible, but definitely not my first option compared to others.
We were the first guests of the season this year at Sterns and we will certainly be back! Terrific staff, great menu and the food was DELICIOUS! We ordered the steamed clams and they were fresh, no sand, no crunch. The drinks by Mykaila (Yes-I spelled it wrong) were complimented by the great hospitality of Josh and crew. Definitely going back, don’t miss this one! MUST STOP!!
I’m so happy I found this place on my family trip to Old Orchard Beach. They have a very cool ambiance looking out over the water. Plus the seafood they serve is hyper local. It’s very hard to find a sit down restaurant in the area that serves authentic Maine seafood. I will definitely be coming back here on my next trip to Maine.
