We have been to La Fogata twice now and both experiences have been good. I am impressed with the improvements they have made to the restaurant and it has been clean both times I have been there. The staff is friendly and the food is good. The chips and salsa are so good I could have eaten them as a meal. My husband ordered the shrimp tacos which were very flavorful and came with a good quantity of shrimp.
I went to Maine during the Thanksgiving week and was invited to dinner at La Fogata restaurant, in Skowhegan, Maine. I am very familiar with authentic Mexican food, and let me tell you, La Fogata did not disappoint! Their food tasted and looked homemade. I had my favorite, which are the Flautas de pollo. The La Fogata was the size of a small animal. Despite the size, it was a tight meal with very distinct flavors throughout the dish. I've had numerous other dishes since and all have been excellent. Friendly staff, too.
