Delicious beer! These guys offer tours of their facility where they brew and bottle everything on site. The sampling was a great experience. Oak Pond is open everyday but Sunday. I love their lagers and seasonal beers. They also offer ales. If you purchase one of their cool growlers, bring it back and they will refill it for you. My absolute favorite is their Laughing Loon; a dark lager. Made with chocolate malts; it is a very smooth yummy drink! Buy local, support local. #drinklocal
It's just meh
Their Nut Brown Ale is my favorite - and I love that it comes in 24-ounce bottles. Just what you need to sit on the porch relaxing after mowing the lawn or stacking firewood on a hot day!I disagree with the reviews of rude people and problematic, boring tours. This is not far from our home and we've gone through the tour multiple times, and the tasting room and tasting experience is always pleasant. I've always found the Chandlers to be very helpful and friendly.
The nut brown is best in class!
Two stars because the beer was pretty good. The person who served us, was a very unpleasant guy and acted as if he would of rathered us not be there. Not going back. We usually buy shirts etc to support the local businesses. We didn't bother there. We drunk our beers as fast as possible and left. We have visited numerous local breweries around maine..... this was by far the worst experience.
Not good customer service. Short with answers. Not informative. Felt like we were asking to much when asking a simple question. Beer is ok.
They just make good beer. I enjoy dark beers. Nut Brown is clean, smooth and rich. The brewery is worth the trip.
Good variety of micro brews - tasty!!
Great people and amazing beer

Terrible customer service. You walk in. No one greets you. Makes you feel like you're a burden. Will never go again. I will be taking my business to a real brewery with excellent customer service over to Bigalow Brewing instead. 0/0 for this place
this is the go to brewery for my family everytime we go to Maine. great prices and even better beer. visit 3 to 4 times a year
In a time when so many breweries have succumbed to the "hazy IPA' craze Oak Pond Brewing sticks to their carefully brewed lagers. While I appreciate and drink a wide variety of beer styles, Oak Pond is one of the only breweries in Maine brewing Bavarian/German style (malt-forward) brews. They use true lager yeast and take the time to cold-condition their beer for many weeks. The results are truly amazing "clean" and malty creations that are true-to-style. Housed in an old barn a few miles outside of Skowhegan, don't let modest facilities fool you - Nancy and Adam know how to brew. While much of the modern craft brewing world focuses on glitzy brew pubs, Oak Pond Brewing Company focuses on beer quality.
Great people and amazing beer
ZERO STARS. What a dump, no seating per earlier reviews. We had just come from the Old Mill Pub in town where we paid $4 for a full pint. At this place they charge $2 for about 2 ounces of beer in a 5 oz sample glass. The owner even came after us into the parking lot thinking we had stolen her sample glasses which we had left on a table inside. Lookup 'Miserable Old Hag' to see a picture of the owner. Don't waste your time coming here.
