My husband & I were passing through Skowhegan for the night and stopped in at Snack shack for breakfast. The food was absolutely great — fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. The staff was awesome as well: friendly, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. You can tell they take pride in both the food and the service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Just got back from our first and definitely not last trip to the snack shack in Skowhegan ME. The staff was friendly and food came out promptly. This was the BEST seafood dinner I've had in 20years. I ordered the pick 2 clam bellies and scallops with fries. Everything was extremely fresh and delicious! The oil used you could tell was clean, the clam bellies were clean, the scallops were tender and even the fries were delicious!! We will definitely back to try more things... they are starting a breakfast menu this weekend! Love a good breakfast!

It was ok. The portions were small for central Maine. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap for myself and a snack basket of chicken fingers for my other half. What was lacking in Buffalo Chicken in the wrap was made up for with lettuce... chicken was lacking; lettuce was to much. Over all it was run of the mill. Chicken fingers we're chicken tenders. Those and the fried were ok too. They definitely weren't bad.

Ever since the new owners took over operations and fired off the rest of the previous staff things have gone down hill. Portions have significantly shrunk. $13 for a shark load basket and I kid you not, 5 tiny pieces of chicken and a child's handful of fries. In total i spent $32.17 for less food then my 6 year old eats.
This used to be a staple in Skowhegan, we looked forward to every szn Snack Shack would open, however, we won't be returning after today.

My family has been eating here for years! I ordered the shack attack last night! There was definitely not enough food to feed 4! It hardly fed 3. Glad I ordered my daughter her own meal! I have never ever seen the chicken portion so small. This meal Always fed 5 of us! I had 3 very small pieces of chicken and my boys each had 4 very small pieces. The $75 I spent was absolutely not worth it! So very disappointed!

This is by far one of the best values I've found up here. Food is wonderful and portions are generous. It's so nice that there are still businesses operating that give their customers honest portions, prices, and quality food. If your stopping in skowvegas, a visit to The Snack Shack is the move !
