We ordered a dozen cupcakes to celebrate a coworkers birthday, and they were amazing! They were delicious and beautifully presented. The delivery service was a huge timesaver for us, and I highly recommend their food and service.

Oh my goodness! This place is phenomenal. We are driving through Maine and decided to stop in Skowhegan for lunch. We peeked into this bakery and we were hooked. Had quiche for lunch and the most wonderful pastry. It was difficult to choose but couldn't resist the Paris-Brest. Excellent choice! The latte was delicious too. Sat at a table by the river, in the shade, to enjoy our lunch.

Cake looked and tasted amazing as did the cupcakes and macarons!! I sent in an inquiry in June requesting for an early September wedding cake/cupcakes and received a prompt response! They even delivered all the way to Rangeley!! Highly recommend!!

We hired the bankery to make our wedding cake and cupcakes. The cake was elegant and delicious! There were not very many cupcakes left by the end of the night, our guests definetly enjoyed them as well.

We had The Bankery and Skowhegan Fleuriste cater our wedding over the weekend. We are so happy with their service and the amazing quality of all the desserts they provided! We would highly recommend their catering service to anyone interested in such amazing, high quality desserts.

Such a cute spot. I had a cappuccino and an almond cranberry scone. Both were just perfect. The scone was very authentic in texture and the balance of toppings and glaze were just right.
There's a large selection of freshly baked goods and even some savory options. The only thing I would have liked to know ahead of time is that the milk choices were a bit limited. Only whole, almond or oat. I usually drink low fat milk so it was a little disappointing.
The staff was super nice as well.
The bakery is connected to a very inviting gift shop which surprised me. I didn't have time to check it out but it looked really fun.

My husband ordered a cake from here for my birthday. It was a good cake but the balance of filling to cake/icing was more than disappointing. Granted is was a flavor they didn’t just automatically have and they had to get creative- Pina Colada- but every individual component was amazing… great buttercream, great coconut flavored cake and the filling was devine- pineapple/rum. But there wasn’t even enough filling to have 2 bites per slice (out of 8 slices). The center was more than half icing with a little hint of filling. I understand needing to protect the cake from moisture but this was really underwhelming. As a baker myself, I know there could have been a better balance inside, or even have the filling added on top to make a better ratio. This ended up a coconut cake with a surprise bite of pineapple when I was so looking forward to the flavors all working together.

I would order from here again but definitely with the specific request of better ratios of filling to cake.

Also to note- we ordered their cannoli, and while delicious, they are NOT just a traditional ricotta filling. There is definitely a decent amount of almond extract in there so be aware both for preference and for allergy knowledge.

If you love baked goods this is the place to go in skowhegan! Everything from bread, cookies, cakes, eclairs, cannolis and more! Need coffee and a scones? Yep! They have those too!!!
