Cute place, but both times I've gone, the service has been meh, and the food has been disappointing. I wanted to give it a second try, but I won't be visiting again.

Here are my pros and cons—
Pro- to start off, it’s GREAT to have a Thai restaurant in Skowhegan! The food is on the whole quite good and all of the standard Thai menu options are available. I ordered ‘gringo’ hot (not Thai hot) and I was quite satisfied. The people working there were pleasant and friendly
Cons: after we ordered, they brought out about half of what we ordered and apparently forgot about the other half. Everyone in the restaurant seemed a bit confused, we had to ask a couple times to correct things (which they did, just that everyone seemed a bit slow). Also, and I know this is a bit nitpicky, the drunken noodles and pad kee mao were made with thin pad Thai noodles, not the proper wide ones.
In sum, this is about the best Thai food you’re likely to get in central Maine. It’s not the best I’ve ever eaten but better than 99% of the other food options in Skowhegan

We tried 6 appetizers. All but the chicken satay were excellent! (the chicken was way overcooked dry and tough) We had spring rolls, crab rangoon, fried oysters, shrimp tempura, steamed pork dumplings. All the sauces that came with these were excellent. Brand new server training doing really well. Had excellent service. Decorations were a little hokey but good restaurant

I absolutely love Zaap Thai! The staff is always super nice and I love the food! I feel comfortable when I dine in, they have a great atmosphere. The food is also great as takeout which is always a plus! I have nothing bad to say about ZAAP and is one of my go to spots!
Delicious, authentic Thai flavors in the heart of Skowhegan! Zaap’s offers fresh ingredients, bold spices, and warm service—our go-to spot for perfect pad Thai and cozy atmosphere. Five stars!

Everything was amazing! We were stopping through town and given the recommendation to visit Zaap … THE BEST RECOMMENDATION! The food was so fresh, there were big portions, and there were so many options. The service was amazing, so friendly, nice, and accommodating. Definitely a must if you’re a foodie, like Thai food, are stopping through town, or just want a great meal!

Our 4-top stopped while passing through town. Definitely not your traditional Thai atmosphere with classic rock blaring on the radio and ugly fake moss and flowers glued around the walls. In addition to knowing we were upcountry our expectations were not high, however, the food was absolutely delicious and the waitress was on the ball! Pleasantly surprised. Would stop here again next time passing through.
