Went to a 207 murder mystery show last night at the SOHO, the event staff was entertaining, and I believe they did a great job with their part of the event. As far as the venue, I believe they could of done a better job considering the price of the meal and event. The Alfredo was a dissapoint. It was dry and lacking in sauce. My chair was so dirty and sticky my dress was literally stuck to the seat and I needed to put napkins down to sit. For a "fine" dining experience I expected 3 pieces of silverware, tables were set with only a paper napkin and 1 fork to be used for the 3 course meal, no spoons are knives were provided. Overall, I sadly probably would not spend $72 per a person for the quality dining experience we recieved.

Went there for dinner, took 15 minute to seat us even though
there were only three tables occupied in the restaurant 🤷 Ordered the burger and fries, burger was okay nothing special, fries were ice cold. The server was nice enough to get us new fries however these fries although hot were not cooked. Wasn't impressed, won't be returning.
Outstanding food and service!
We headed to the Solon Hotel for some eats and the haunted hotel!! (As far as I know; it hasn't been a hotel for a while.) Both were excellent. The restaurant was crazy busy. People waiting, leaving and being seated non stop! Thankfully we made a reservation. But despite their business; they seemed to have a handle on it. Don't think we waited 15 minutes for our meal which was quite good!!
I had a couple minor issues however. One being that our entree was served on a wooden cutting board. I; personally; don't like wooden cutting boards. They're prone to be unsanitary with cut gouges in the wood.
The other issue was the ladies room. There was only one toilet with a few women waiting for their turn. There's a nice sitting area when you 1st walk in. Perhaps another toilet instead of a chair?
Other than that; we really enjoyed the place, our food and the haunted hotel. We will definitely return

Prices were reasonable for the amount of food you got. The food was good especially the sweet chili chicken wings was really good. The alcohol drinks were perfect. You can taste the alcohol but not strong.

Went there for supper today, surprisingly poor meal. Instead of serving the butternut squash ravioli in a brown butter sauce with brown sugar they served it in what they told me was a vegetable oil, margarine sauce. It tasted like oil. Gross! I was hungry and stated that, so I ate the ravioli. When asked how my meal was I wasn’t going to complain but the employee asked a second time so I commented that I’ve never had it served in oil. I was told they were busy last night so the usual cook was not there, he also gave me the info on what the ravioli was sitting in, and then stated he would take something off the meal price. He discounted $4 and change! I didn’t get what I ordered and that was their bad so meal should have been free. The waiter was obviously inexperienced as I watched him spill my martini with every step he took and a good waiter should know what the food should look like. Didn’t seem he was happy with the 15% tip I left, really he wasn’t worth that either.
Food and drinks: Food is very expensive and the portions are TINY! My son got chicken Alfredo and his portion size was that of a toddler. When I asked them about the portion size they said that was the normal portion. The service is poor, I got a quasadilla and it said it came with sour cream and Salsa. I never got either and I even specifically asked the waiter when I placed my order for extra sour cream, and I asked him again when my meal came. Very disappointed.

Lovely atmosphere, great service, good food. We all enjoyed our meals. The waitress was excellent and we had a chance to speak with the chef. I would recommend this establishment and will definitely return.
Food and drinks: Very good burgers. The salad was well presented. Tasty seafood chowder with cornbread. Great lemon cream cake.

The Solon Hotel has a history and a story to tell but you'll have to stop in and ask about it! This recently - and beautifully - reimagined landmark in the village of Solon offers imaginative signature cocktails, has a huge variety of craft brews on tap, and serves the best burgers in all the land from their eclectic menu that appeals to a variety of price point diners, The atmosphere is lively and welcoming and if you pop in on a Friday or Saturday night you might get to hear some awesome local bands and a dance the night away!

Absolutely wonderful! Our meals were fresh and delicious! The Mozambique shrimp was amazing, our salads were spot on, and my Solon burger was cooked to perfection, moist and juicy with a great slab of cheese and the best dill slices! The French fries were hand sliced and fried in peanut oil, my husband's favorite! The dipping sauce for them was divine!! We urge you to go and enjoy a beautiful meal at the Solon Hotel! They are delightful people doing a great job!! ❤️❤️❤️

Have to say, I was a bit disappointed. My $20 carbonara dish seemed like it had either been pre-cooked a day ahead and reheated or it sat for a while before served. The garlic knot served with it was half stale. Drinks were empty long before waitress came to offer new, and we were not given the salads that come with the meals. When I mentioned it, the bill was not comped. Hopefully it is better if I ever decide to give it another chance.
It wouldn’t let me give zero stars or I would have BUT I would like to share my most recent experience that I had at the Solon Hotel. I went there about 6 months ago for the first time it was great. BUT I was back in town and with my husband, which I had talked about with so my husband had to see for himself. Let’s just say I/we were very disappointed this time around. I’m not sure what changed but something did. I feel the food quality has since went down the drain.
I ordered pot roast, which I ordered the first time I was there 6 months ago (which was phenomenal) ; first off this time the potatoes looked like they had been sitting in grease and soaked in butter for weeks they looked dirty and not fluffy at all. I can’t imagine they were fresh. Second of all the carrots looked like they were rotted with the amount of (spices) I’m assuming on them?? The portion sizes are much smaller as well. Last time this was definitely not the case everything looked and presented fresh. When you pay this much for a meal it’s depressing when the food quality sucks, especially when u have had it before a certain way. I was actually embarrassed taking my husband there. Apparently pride has went down the drain and I do t foresee this place lasting a lot longer. Shame…..
Food good for the $$$

Quick stop driving through. Pleasantly surprised on how it was inside. Nice vibe. We thought ki da pricey for Solon, but gave it a try. Husband's pot roast was fab and I had a burger, which was very good. Drink was "ok", bar tender nice but for a slow time of day, it was a bit slow coming out. Give it a try, so little in that area. We'll go back.
