It is a perfect place to enjoy food, music, and the view of Christmas Cove. I just can't get enough of this restaurant. Every time I visit, the food is excellent, and the view just gets better and better. We enjoyed the seafood stuffed haddock that melted in your mouth. The rice was nutty and chewy, just the way I like it. The vegetable was Brussels cooked just right. Thanks for the excellent services and a delightful evening.

Enjoyed a well priced seafood dinner. Mussels and oysters for appetizers and lobster for dinner. Food was exceptional and service was attentive and quick. Reservation recommended.

The live music was great and so is the location, but the food was underwhelming. My crab roll had shell in it and was on a ballpark hotdog bun. My wife’s chicken piccata was overcooked and the top layer very dry.

Cove burger was good, and the artichoke dip and lava cake were amazing! Our waitress was nice too. Great atmosphere, and I like the boat dock being right next to the restaurant.

Lovely place for a meal. Great views. We had the oysters on half shell. My husband had the fish chowder( haddock, clam and shrimp) and I had the crab cakes. We both had the lobster roll as entrees. A glass of wine and beer. It came to $145.00 before tip.

The oysters were wonderful. The chowder had a somewhat thinner broth. The crab cakes were small but all crab rather than filler. They were delicious. The lobster roll is small, as usual this year but full of pieces of lobster. ( see photos) The roll was toasted and French fries were crispy. The food was excellent and service pleasant. They did not rush the entrees but allowed us time to enjoy our meal. Would recommend this restaurant.

I had a reservation for a 630 dinner for two, asked for a special outdoor table as we were celebrating a birthday. When we checked in we were given an ok - not great - table on the deck which was not set up to offer the best seating for couples rather than larger parties (which no one had bothered to tell me when I made the reservation). There were three empty tables which sat up to four or five but when we asked if we might have one of those we were told they were all reserved. We decided to just go with it since we were there. A quick look at the menu showed that they were a bit over-priced (as we had expected) for but we were going to just enjoy the view and live with it. Until, that is, my wife asked a question about the lobster ( which was her entire reason for wanting to go there on her birthday ) and was told, sorry, but we’re out of lobster. Really.?!? A seaside restaurant on the coast of Maine, barely halfway through their dinner seatings, and out of lobster? They said something about only ordering a dozen for that evening and they all sold out quickly! So that seemed like the time to rethink our birthday plans and we stood up and left. Even though we’re local we’ve only been to Coveside a couple of times before, never been very impressed, but thought we’d give it a try again since we were spending the birthday night on our boat which is moored nearby. Big mistake. Everything about the service and presentation seems pretty lackluster, I guess they assume that they can skate by on their lovely location and seafood offerings. Except - they can’t even order enough lobsters to serve their patrons. Here ‘s a hint to the management: lobsters don’t die overnight, just buy enough to be sure you’ve got what you ‘ll need and if you don’t sell them all let them swim around in a tank until the next day. It certainly put a crimp in our celebratory evening as we had to go out looking for a place with the good management sense to have lobsters on hand on a summer evening. We surely won’t go back to Coveside and will never recommend the place to others unless we hear of some pretty significant changes.

A great restaurant. But we hit on a busy day and had to wait 1.5 hours for the food. It was worth the wait. A beautiful little harbor.

A beautiful view...Have enjoyed lunch/dinner and brought visiting friends...had clam basket last time...8 clams! And sadly, I could smell/taste last drink in my water glass...everyone has an off moment...will give another try...a beautiful view!

What views! The whole place has amazing views. Great happy vibe. Chorizo mussels great with nice crusty bread. Had the stuffed halibut and it was amazing with a side of mashed potatoes loaded with lobster claws! Thai inspired seafood stew was amazing and all the fish was perfectly cooked. Haddock piccata excellent and shrimp over linguine excellent too. One of the best seafood dinners I’ve had at this price point.
