A Perfect Stay at the Claremont – Made Unforgettable by Captain Alwyn (sp?) and Lady A Our stay at the Claremont was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The rooms were beautifully appointed, the service was attentive and warm, and the location couldn’t have been more picturesque. Every detail felt thoughtful and refined. Dining at Little Fern was also a highlight—delicious food, elegant ambiance, and top-tier hospitality. But what truly made our trip unforgettable was our charter with Lady A. We were lucky enough to set out with Captain Alwyn, a knowledgeable and passionate local who brought the beauty of the area to life in such a personal and engaging way. From hidden coves to sweeping coastal views, every moment on the water felt like a scene from a dream. Captain Alwyn’s expertise, warmth, and deep roots in the community made the experience both relaxing and enriching. If you’re staying at the Claremont, I can’t recommend this experience enough. Treat yourself to a day on Lady A—it’s a must-do, and one of the most memorable parts of our Maine getaway.
I find although the food is good the portions are pretty small. I ordered salad with lobster today and it was quite a small salad like a side salad. I asked for extra dressing because there was literally none on the salad. The side of dressing was so scant you should be embarrassed! We asked for more and were told they were afraid they would run out! Not acceptable you can do much better for what clientele you're catering to. C'mon
Also the lobster rolls are inconsistent with portion and quality. The service has been very good and the view is breath taking but you can't ride the coattails of that with food not on par with the atmospheres and offerings.

Amazing spot. Delicious bloody Mary’s. Fish sandwich hits the spot. Chowder is delicious. Highly recommend.

I ALMOST didn’t stop by because of the overall reviews and I’m glad I didn’t. We’re familiar with batson river and shocked this place only has 4.1 stars. This was a pleasant experience. Beautiful views. Good food. Had the Korean BBQ wings. Nice mix of sweet/spicy. Also had the caprese sandwich. The chicken was very tender. My drink was also pretty good! Had two of the shipwrecked. It’s a good drink if you like island flavors like coconut and passion fruit. Our server was nice and attentive. Overall would recommend. A side note, you do have to go through the hotel to get to the restaurant.

Interesting little spot on the water outside the Claremont. I was recommended to come here, however we were not staying at the Claremont so I thought it would be a little strange. Turns out it's not and this is a great spot to grab a drink and bite. The cocktails were great and the lobster roll was an 8/10.

Great food with even better views. Options to sit outside under umbrellas or inside which is practically outside just with a roof. They serve drinks that are different from the inside bar which is nice. Can’t beat the view and ocean breeze on a nice day

Just discovered this little jewel and visited about a dozen times this season. Such a great staff! Really enjoyed our time here. Can’t wait for next season hope our favorite bartender will come back from overseas!

This small restaurant is located behind the Claremont hotel, right on the water! Great view with a patio as well! You could definitely tell how fresh all the ingredients were! So good and tasty! My husband raved about his lobster roll! The Mediterranean plate was listed as a main course, which it shouldn’t be. It’s more of an app. And also, I wish my salad would have been bigger. Our server was so cheery and friendly!

We could not tell if it was good since they closed early as we arrived.

Great place for happy hour 3-5pm. Drinks and food were both good and the view can't be beat. Dinghy dock with a dock attendant that is very helpful.
Very strange experience last night at the Claremont. While sitting in the sitting area between The Little Fern and Harry’s Bar asked a waiter to take a picture. He took a few and then came over and adjusted my clothing without asking then took a few more. Truly bizarre and borderline inappropriate behavior. He was wearing a braided gold bracelet. Manager please feel free to DM me if you’d like to discuss and get more info.
Lovely people, gorgeous setting as always, but the skimpiest lobster roll I have seen in my entire life, by a mile. If lobster meat is too expensive to make a $36 lobster roll profitable, maybe just take it off the menu.

A bit disappointed…activities schedule not emailed ahead so I missed a wine event when I checked in 40 minutes after. Was looking forward to a bike ride but none available. Food just ok, toast cold.
If you're making the trip up to the Acadia area and debating between staying at the Claremont over the Bar Harbor area, this is your sign to stay at the Claremont! We absolutely loved our three-day stay here. The decor and grounds are something straight out of a Nancy Meyers movie. Every inch of the property has been tastefully designed - it even smells so good you'll want to bring a candle home with you. I might be biased because we did get engaged at this hotel (if you're looking for the right place, the dock is a picture-perfect place to pop the question!), but we are already looking forward to trips back in the future. Thank you, Tim, for the hospitality and celebratory margaritas. They were delicious! We were also very impressed by the band they had play during our stay. Plan your next trip here you won't regret it!
