First time here. Stopped in on Friday 8/21/25 @4pm for a quick bite before heading home. No lines or waiting. We are not lobster eaters, so we ordered 2 blackened haddock sandwiches with fries and onion rings. We sat on the outside deck which has several tables for 2 overlooking the wharf. The staff was great and fish was cooked perfectly. Scenery was beautiful and gorgeous day helped. As we were leaving they were setting up a musician for entertainment. Will definitely be back. Thanks for a great meal.

We have enjoyed lobsters here several times over the past 6 years. The lobsters are always excellent. However, this time we ordered 4 Lobster rolls and they were a big disappointment. They were all dry and tasteless.

We ate here the other day while we was visiting Maine.I don't like lobster much, but this place was delicious. I got the chicken tenders. Although, I did feel sad for the lobsters just staring at me. I think some of them was trying to get back to the ocean. I hope a couple escaped. I like Finding Nemo a whole lot. It's a great film about a lost fish. You should check it out. That is set in Australia, and this place is in Maine. That's the maine difference. The place was dirty outside and the inside seating had no personality. Didn't feel like I was at a real restaurant.

When we arrived on a busy Sunday for late lunch there was already a line of people waiting to place orders and get their table assignment. The line moved quickly though; the cashiers were efficient, and we probably spent less than 10 minutes in line.

Since we were a party of 2 we were seated on the dock walkway bar tables which had a nice atmosphere and was further away from the larger parties seated at picnic tables. The only complaint we had is that the bar stools needed to be a few inches taller. It was like being a kid seated at an adult table with no booster seat. A little awkward, but kind of added to the experience.

The food was really good. We had the seafood platter and fried pickles. Everything tastes great, and the portions were large enough that we had enough to take home for a second meal. Everything is market price for seafood, so it was a bit pricey for two people. We knew that going in though, and since the food was good we have no complaints.

Clearly I have gone to Beal’s too many times this trip. I usually get a whole lobster which has been fabulous this trip but the whole lobster roll experience was a bust. The bun was not warm, barely any butter on the lobster or the bun. Disappointed in upgrading to onion rings since they came out cold. The steam clams did not get delivered. We had to hunt them down and get a new batch cooked because clearly someone snatched our order. You would think 3:30 in the afternoon with barely any customers, the service would be swift and the food hot. More like we got a winner to help clear out the lunch left overs.

Beal's is a lobster restaurant that will fulfill all your tourist desires and permit you to never need to seek any more lobster the rest of your trip. Their rolls, though expensive, definitely give a good portion of lobster. I was only a little hungry, and I felt like the standard size was actually too much food for me. I got the garlic one which was good though not as garlic-y as I was hoping. I prefer the saucy (mayo?) style though and would get that next time.

I liked the chips on the side, and that they come in a bag so you can take it home and eat later.

Other things I tried:
- corn: normal, would skip next time
- cornbread: skip, not that good
- clam chowder: pretty good
- kid's mac: not good at all, tasted like Panera Bread
- sweet potato fries: addictive and super tasty
- onion rings: skip, not amazing or anything
- blueberry pie: so yummy!!
- blueberry ice cream: good, friends liked but I would skip

The cashiers are super kind, but it was really hard to get any help after you've entered the dining area. Servers there were low key kind of rude and dismissive. They're probably busy, the restaurant should hire people dedicated to just servicing tables since the others are busy trying to do other things.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Maine Must-Try! The lobster roll was perfection — sweet, tender chunks of fresh-caught lobster piled high on a buttery, lightly toasted bun. The seasoning was simple and spot-on, letting the natural flavor of the lobster shine through, while just enough creamy dressing tied it all together without overpowering. The lobster nachos were an unexpected delight — warm, crisp tortilla chips loaded with generous pieces of lobster, melted cheese, and a drizzle of tangy sauce that balanced richness with a hint of brightness. Every bite had that perfect mix of crunch, creaminess, and fresh-from-the-sea flavor. Whether you’re a Maine local or just visiting, these dishes are the kind of food memories you’ll be talking about long after you’ve left.

Good food. Matt at the counter was awesome. Lots of delicious options for gluten sensitivities. I hadn't had fried shrimp that good in so long, dang. The lobster is good, the view is beautiful, and the nostalgia is wonderful.

My husband and I recently celebrated our anniversary at Beal's. Although there was a hiccup with our order, they went above and beyond to make it right for us. The food was delicious, and the staff was kind and courteous! We definitely will be back if we are in the area again!

Location is nice scenery, but thats where the good stops. When we got there didn't realize it was order first then sit down & wait like fast food. We didnt want a large lobster - because of the fact they are just tuff, they said too hard to find smaller than 2.5 lb in the tank. Stuck with 2.75lbs. Sat down in this brezzy tent at a square table that holds 8 people, and it filled up to 8 almost elbow to elbow. Our neighbors all had 1.75 lb lobsters - which is what we wanted. So when you have all these lobsters and trays on a table, there is just no room to eat comfortably. The lobster was just filled with water - so the plate endded up looking like a soup bowl. I guesss they are in such a rush they don't drain the water.

Service was fast no complaint there, drinkks pretty good as well.

Really - Really recommend you go else where like Thurstons, or the best we had on our trip was Dolphin Marina.
This was truely a memory you don't want. I feel sorry for anyone that has our experience. This was a four hour round trip based on the excellent reviews I read.

Just WOW. This was probably the best food I had on my trip to Maine! It was a whole experience - as soon as you come in the door, the staff is engaging and talking with you. I loved putting a pin on the map for where we were from! The food was just incredible. My lobster was fresh and flavorful, the fish sandwich was wonderfully crispy, and the lobster roll was loaded with meat. I loved the whole experience and will certainly come back again when I’m in Maine again!

We went here for our first lobster roll in Maine after reading the glowing reviews but were sadly left disappointed. We ordered the garlic lobster roll and couldn’t taste any garlic. The lobster was very bland and chewy. The saving grace was the bread which was delicious but for $45 per roll I would try to find another place.

Great place after a day spent in and around Acadia. They typically have a staff of 25, but was operating with a staff of 10 since it's the start of the season. The gentleman taking everyone's order was the friendliest guy! Food was great and we had little wait time for our food.
