We enjoyed the open kitchen and cozy vibe. However, the food fell short for us. The jambalaya was basically ham and rice. The trout had so much watercress, green onion and parsley that it overpowered the delicate fish. The pesto and shells were very good. Overall the meals were very overpriced. While we can appreciate the fact that a chef is cooking your meal, we just didn’t feel the dishes warranted such a high price. The server started out friendly, but quickly went cold. Perhaps she sensed we weren’t enjoying our meal. She basically brought our food, cleared the table and brought the check, no personal connection. We would not return to this restaurant.

All the food was great but the two pasta dishes that our family shared were some of the better pasta dishes I have ever had! Service was great. Little things, like my daughter dropped her fork and within a minute someone showed up with a clean fork before we could even ask. Vibe was inviting and family friendly. Our best restaurant experience on a two week trip to Maine.

Harbor Table is a small restaraunt and bar in Southwest Harbor, which offers a range of meal options ranging from schnitzel to salads.
I had the Caesar Salad with Anchovies. The salad was nicely dressed; however, I felt the salad was lacking in substance, given it was topped with only four anchovy filets, the best flavor of the dish. My colleague also had the schnitzel, which he described as slightly overcooked, while the anchovies on his did little to contribute to the flavor profile. Overall the prices felt a bit high for the portions and quality.
The atmosphere was loud, largely due to the tables being closely seated to the bar, which can make casual conversation among a large group challenging.
If you are planning to go in a large group, know they will not seat your party until all members are present.

This place was sooo good. Definitely recommend the nosh. A bunch of fresh veggies, freshly made hummus, and delicious pita. The atmosphere is great and cozy. The serving sizes are generous and the price is totally fair for the quality and quantity.

Very noisy inside. I couldn’t have a conversation with my family. Bottle of Magners served with a cognac glass instead of a normal pint glass. Very expensive. However, the menu is unique and the food is good

Staff was excellent! Both the hostess and the waitress were great. Had a table for 5 at one of the front windows. Waitress knew the menu very well and answered all of our questions about the menu with great detail. 3 of us tried the burger, which was delicious. 1 of us had the buffalo wings and said that they were some of the best that he had ever had. Called ahead for a table and waited a few minutes after our arrival by sitting in the small garden area next door.
