Incredible popovers for a good cause—what more is there to say!!

Have been going here for years. A nonprofit soup kitchen that offers a very basic breakfast of oatmeal and some of the best popovers you'll ever eat!! You pay what you believe the food is worth, but remember they are helping to feed 140 families each week. They provide very unique entertainment from local seniors who play and sing a wide variety of music. Definitely worth the experience!!

Popovers were absolutely delicious! And it's great to support a small local place for a great cause. I went here while visiting Acadia with my sister and it was such a gem!

What a blessing. We made a donation but you don't have to... Too many people struggle to feed themselves but organisations such as these and their generous donors help them out. The staff are wonderfully welcoming and Jay went out of his way. Legend. Plus the food is really good given the context.

This place is doing absolutely beautiful things for this community. We had heard about it on one of the MDI pages. My husband and I wanted to check out the popovers but what we walked away with was so much more. We were welcomed in by the volunteers, given directions on how it all worked, and were able to have some incredible popovers while listening to music. We returned our last morning on island with our entire family, including our two dogs and enjoyed popovers as we sung along to songs from the Common Good Band. It was my 7 months olds first time on the island and I am so glad she got to experience all of that. Incredible Popovers, Awesome atmosphere and great cause. We can’t wait to come back on our next visit.

Wonderful place with a great mission. The popovers tasted so good we ended up buying a mix to take home and try to make them when we travel back home. Thank you for all the good work you do and the yummy food.

The Soup Kitchen serves an excellent meal on Wednesday evenings beginning at 4:00p.m. We had a wonderful & tasty meal of spaghetti, turkey burger meatballs, sauce, garlic bread slices, salad, dessert, and water or coffee/tea to drink. The service is excellent. I understand a meal of roast turkey with all the fixin's is up next week. Sunday breakfast popovers will resume on Feb 1.The volunteers are great!

Very friendly and greeted my dog with a treat when we arrived. Make sure you have the correct cash on hand because they don’t have change. There’s an ATM down the street. Suggested donation is $10 or more. The popovers are delicious and they have maple butter and cinnamon butter for them in addition to blueberry jam. I’ve only been on Sundays but there is a band playing on Sunday!
