I had their inaugural vegan club at their new old town location, and it was absolutely delicious! Growing up closer to the New York City border, I always took for granted having really great food, especially really great vegan food, within walking distance. I’m so excited that this kitchen offers foods for all dietary types within walking distance of my home. Old town absolutely needed a place like this and I’m so glad that it’s just as delicious as it is local and the staff are friendly. I will definitely be returning!! It might be a little tricky to find in the building, but don’t give up! Look for the bear statue !!
I was hoping to go this week but their facebook page says they are taking 2 weeks off and won't be open until Oct 10th
Finally got try this gem! I am full and happy. I tried their street corn and Kisohs bowl(grain bowl), my partner had the Bison Bomb. All of it was delicious. I wish much success for this business and I hope I get the opportunity to eat from here again.

Katahdin Kitchen catered an event. The food was outstanding! Veggies were cooked perfectly, they didn’t turn to mush. Meat was tender and flavorful. The soup was the perfect summer soup and the rolls, a perfect partner. Cupcakes just the right level of sweetness. 10/10 recommend.
Absolutely amazing flavor, prepared perfectly. We tried the tacos (beef and mushroom), the farro bowl, the roasted root salad, and the stuffed fry bread. Three of us tried them all and LOVED them all. The tacos were the favorite across the board but the nettle pesto in the fry bread!; the pickled fiddlehead in the bowl!; and the texture of the pulled mushrooms was brilliant. Will be back! This week we’re excited to try the venison/wagu smash burger and the haddock.

Great food and service! I took out the fried haddock sandwich and frybread. Especially enjoyed the sauce on the sandwich. I will definitely be going back soon.

Food and staff are amazing. Had the Sumac salmon and it was a complex mix of flavors. Not the status quo. Each bite just pulled you deeper into it. Fantastic. Dining room is not polished or fancy. You're going there for the food!

After today, I know what I'm doing next Thursday, which is eating the venison/waygu smash burger at Katahdin Kitchen again. OMG. Super soul satisfying cheesy bites and 2 big perfectly cooked patties, but also shot through with some beautiful unexpected flavors that only deepen the cheesy meaty goodness.

Katahdin Kitchen has been a personal favorite since it opened! There are so many different options to try, you can’t go wrong visiting weekly. If you’re a foodie, going regularly will give you the opportunity to taste everything on their rotating menu which features Indigenous and non-Indigenous ingredients, locally sourced foods, and innovative taste combinations. I can’t wait to experience how they grow over time.
Stopped here on a Thursday with a group visiting Maine and the Wabanaki Homeland. We had the awesome venison burger, delightful haddock, and the best fiddlehead & farro salad ever!!! Delicious, generous portions with a welcoming & earth-friendly atmosphere! We’ll be back!
