The server here was very friendly and the place was interesting. A bar and a little restaurant with alcoholic slushies on tap. We ordered crab rangoons as an appetizer. They were delicious and well priced. For the meal my wife got a grilled cheese baguette with bacon and onion and apple which was an interesting sandwich. And I got my traditional Reuben. The sandwiches were delicious. My Reuben especially, no soggy parts. Crispy bread, excellent sandwich. Unfortunately, our fries were cold as soon as they hit the table. Not an ounce of warmth to them. When asking how our food was the server did apologize for the cold fries and offered to refry them. It's almost a shame that lunch was so filling, because the dessert menu looked amazing. This was our first visit to the Sand Bar on vinalhaven Island. If we get to come back out here again we'll definitely come back to the restaurant.

Ordered multiple times from here as I am working on the island. Food is okay, definitely not impressed. Also, pricing is quite strange. Ordered 3 of the same things 3 days in a row and each time the price was different lol.

This is the local. Food exceeds expectations. Fried scallop ceaser was soo good. Bartenders are pros. Worried a bit about how non locals might be percieved, but no worries. Your patrons are the best. Cannot wait to come back.

I'm not really sure what to say. Pretty rough and tough place. People eating toilet paper in the bathroom. Guys yelling they got both of their pants pockets full of heroine. Trucks get mysteriously burnt from the fine gentleman attending this establishment.

Nice dive bar on the island. Bring your own pool cue if you want to play. Local vibe serving the tourists.Kid-friendliness: Dive bar but family friendly

Local bar full of the usual suspects. A couple beers on tap and bottles too. Bar food and nothing special. I would have thought there would be some fresh seafood. They need to clean up all the used oil containers and boxes laying in the grass out back. It looks like a dump.

Dirty, very, very slow service. Meatballs in sub tasted like they were bought from a food service as did the "haddock" in the fish sandwich. Dated, but not in a good way. Electrical extension cords running all over the place.

The one place in town open all the time. IDK if it’s COVID related or not but nothing else is open for lunch regularly. Quite odd. Very nice staff and good food and drinks.
