Good food and great staff 75% of the time. The other 25% neither of those. Tonight was one of the 25%… Arrived 5:50. Waitress great. Beer fast. Ordered food by 6pm. 6:45 was served cold soup, cold grilled cheese and a medium rare steak that was so salty and rare that even my salt loving husband couldn’t stand. The manager took the steak back with attitude - my husband declined another as he had to go. We asked them to heat the soup. FOURTEEN minutes later, the soup arrives (after my husband and son had to leave). My mom and I took the soup and I told the waitress I no longer wanted the other two soups as the weren’t here anymore since it took so long. Never one apology during this whole ordeal. I asked for the check and the waitress tells me her manager won’t take off the soup. The manager comes over and tells me she can’t take off the soup necause I should have told them I didn’t want it anymore (I’m sorry - how was I supposed to know it would take 14 minutes to heat soup!). She says I am being condescending (which, trust me, I was not) and finally takes off the soup! Both my husband and I have worked in restaurants and never in a million years would I have ever spoken to a customer like that, especially when the food was subpar!! We did frequent this restaurant but can no longer recommend unfortunately:( at least not with this manager on duty.

A cozy little neighborhood tavern with a small selection of draft and bottled beers. The menu was sandwiches, burgers, salads and some entrees. My fish tacos were good, but the side of rice that I ordered was a glutinous mess. DHs rueben was ok, but not grilled and only a smidge of sauerkraut😐

This is our go-to place anytime we're near Waldoboro. It ain't fancy, but the food is fresh and individually prepared. Our favorite is the Hachmeister's Haddock (fried) sandwich; it's lightly battered, served on a brioche bun and they can put pretty much anything you'd like on it. Their tartar sauce is homemade and delicious. Pair this with one of their wide variety of local microbrews and you have a great meal.

Skip Moody's Diner; this is where the locals go.

Former Regular Off Season Customer

I knew instantly when I stepped into the Narrows Tavern on a Saturday evening at about 8:00pm that something was definately wrong. During the off season it usually was hopping with a friendly crowd and sometimes live music at this time of day. Instead, there was no-one at the bar and only one table occupied with a single diner. Nothing was physically different with the place other than a different bar tender and waitress since I was last there in late spring. The waitress was attentive when I sat at a table, asked me the usual questions and handed me a one page photo copy written in Sharpy of what I thought must be the specials. I asked for the regular menu but was told thats the new menu. I asked if they had the steaktips, chicken parm or the jibouritto... answer no. The new menu didn't resemble the old menu as I recalled it at all. The new menu had no desciptions of the items, several of the items where names of people... that's right, no description as what those items were, nor what they included. So I ordered a hamburger with fries, after a moderate wait the burger and fries arrived, yupp a skimpy patty and typical fries with a side container of ketchup. In summary I've had better burgers and fries for less money at the chain burger joints with drive-throu windows... Thumbs Down!!!

We were trying to get to an event. The first place we went to said it would be an hour plus. Suggested the Narrows. We sat at the bar, they were busy but service was very good and food delicious. Will return
