First time. Very relaxed atmosphere. Great friendly, professional staff. Food was very good.

Vegetarian options: Appetizers and entre options available.

Parking: Broken up areas for parking, but sufficient.

We stayed at the Kawanhee Inn when we were in Maine to drop our kids off at summer camp. We stayed in the Inn and ate at the restaurant for 3 nights. The rooms are comfortable, nicely decorated and extremely clean. The location on the lake is just stunning, and there's a great back porch to drink coffee in the morning or have a cocktail at night. Service is super friendly. The food at the restaurant is exceptional and I can't think of a nicer place to eat dinner than that screened in porch - if we lived near by I would eat there once a week. The menu has a great range including some vegan dishes, and every single thing I ate (many things!) was delicious. The cocktails are also excellent - there's a great low key scene at the bar in the late afternoons/evening. If you are coming anywhere near this area, I highly recommend staying there or having dinner, it's really a special place.

The views from the porch are spectacular and complement the elevated dishes. The bleu cheese and bacon crusted steak is particularly delectable.

On Friday July 9th . This was the start of ower road rally .With Hagerty Classic Car insurance and Cassic Car Advantages . The first stop was to the Portland Maine Motor Club . That in itself was a real eye opening experience. It started to rain and rain hard just when we left the Hotel .For lunch we stoped at theKawanhee Inn and restaurant. It is off the beaten path . Since everything in Maine and New Hampshire are sprad apart . Thankfully as car people we all enjoy driving . The Kawanhee InnIs set back in the woods . The main building looks like a logging home . Inside is very rustic and open . When you walk into the grate room there is sitting area off to the right .With comfortable chairs and a Big stone fireplace . With a bar close by. On the left you walk into another Big room . Witch is the dinning room . With another stone fireplace. This fireplace was on . It looked really nice !!They had tables and chairs allset up . In the back of the dinning room they had a enclosed eatting area looking out over the backyard and the lake . The owerner and his staff was very nice !" The food was really good .... For desert we all had home made blueberry pie .(( WOW it was really good ))We stayed for a little bit . Learned the history of the inn.Said thankyou for there hospitality . Then got back on the road .
