Last Friday Guylaine and I left my town, Scott, heading to the border with the United States. We planned to spend some time in Jackman, eat something, and head back to Canada again. But we headed a little further south, to Rachael's restaurant, in the district of West Forks, in the state of Maine. They treated us very well, we had a glass of red wine and ordered some hamburgers. Guylaine ordered a succulent sandwich. It was midday, so the place was quickly packed with hungry and loud customers. We were able to exchange a few words with a group who claimed to come from Rodhe Island. In short, our American experience, across the border, has reached its threshold. We said goodbye to the owners, expressing our gratitude and that perhaps in the future we could return. Thanks Rachel!
Food and drinks: The hamburger and sandwich are huge and delicious. Wine was one of those unforgettable red. Absolutely wonderful meal, I enjoyed. We were seated comfortably in a rustic wooden table, surrender by a typical hunter environment. For two meal and so, price was only 53 US$. Plus tip: 60 bucks. Worthy enough !

We ate at the lodge in between hiking to waterfalls. Good food. Nice staff.
If you aren’t a fan of hunting - eat somewhere else. Decorated with impressive bucks, bear, & mountain lion.
Very good address, warm welcome, very generous portions. An authentic place! Hunters' den, stuffed animals and impressive photos on the walls bear witness to this.
Excellent food and service! Local breweries on tap.

Great place to eat. Fast and fairly priced.
This restaurant was highly suggested to us so we went while out riding. If you have food allergies i don't suggest this place. I have food allergies to milk and egg, asked the waitress if the sub roll had milk or egg after explaining allergy and got "what do you expect me to go look?!" My husband then asked if she had a suggestion "chef salad" .Our drinks that were not empty were removed from table before we left. The pulled pork was on special and was cold.We did not stay in the hotel.
Great breakfast served all day!
