We were in town for a wedding, passing through on our way to our weekend lodging. What a welcome breakfast spot after traveling for we'll over 20 hours. The Hawaiian omelet was a great culinary adventure.

The breakfast potatoes weren't good at all and the coffee was reported as not good. Otherwise the food was ok. Kind of pricey for the quality of food. I would try again to see if lunch food was better.

Horrible experience. Waited 30 minuets just for drinks. Finally put in an order but waited over an hour for food. Other tables around us got their food but the wait was didn’t even acknowledge us. Finally after an hour and 30 minuets we went to the hostess to pay for our drinks and leave. Waitress came over and charged us for drinks didn’t comp anything and even included a 20% tip with out asking. Waitress didn’t apologize and complained to her co workers about how she djed until 2 in the morning the night prior. Dreadful experience we will never be back. Way too many good breakfast spots to waste our time at brea Lu.

If I could leave -stars I would. My family was visiting this weekend and we waited an hour for drinks and never got our food. We ended up leaving waiting an hour and half. The waitress included her own tip in the bill but did nothing to earn the tip as someone else ended up bringing our drinks. As we were leaving the server rolled their eyes and grumbled under their breath.

My daughter found this place online and we met her here recently for a Sunday brunch date. It was clean and spacious and our waitress was very attentive. We had coffees in front of us within a few minutes of being seated and once we ordered it arrived very promptly. I enjoyed my breakfast sandwich as did my daughter. It’s a little on the pricy side but I don’t mind when the place is nice and the service is good. Would definitely eat here again.

Both of us ordered the 3 egg scramble with broccoli. All stems and no actual broccoli florets. Told waitress thinking maybe an adjustment on bill might be made. Nope! Meal wasn’t very hot when served and it was far from busy. Moving on to try i different place .

We are so lucky to have Brea Lu nearby and have been several times at both the new location and the previous one around the corner. It’s the perfect place to bring visiting friends to Westbrook for brunch. The Reuben is baller, as is the Cuban Sandwich pictured here. The detail of a very good side salad and now they have fries as an option too. Take a walk in the park down by the river before or after your meal..

Too bad the great breakfast is overshadowed by poor service. Drinks sat empty at the end of the table until the 3rd time over, missed the toast and bacon until the second time asking. And what is that incessant beeping the entire dining room hears constantly from the front desk?
...bring back the old location, a much better time.
