So I’m a resident of Southern Maine and I have seen this Bre LuCafé changed hands many times from when it was on Forest Avenue in Portland to the multiple locations in Westbrook Maine. I visited this location today and I have to be very honest with you. I left with a completely upset stomach. I felt like the food tasted like metal like the grill. They were cooking it on hasn’t been cleaned in years now this may not be the truth, but I felt a very, very strong taste of metal in my omelette and my home fries. The home fries were about is bland as you can get them no spices or nothing on them and it was basically cutting up a potato and eating it. I walked away from here once again with a very, very upset stomach, and the food was less than desirable. I got a meat lovers omelette, and I had onions and mushroom added to it. They charged an up charge of $1.50 for mushrooms and $1.50 for the onions both on my omelette and on my home fries this is extremely a pricey place for breakfast and there’s so many other nice places around southern Maine for breakfast. That is much less money than this And much much better food than this.

I love having this spot in Westbrook! The food is delicious and the wait staff is also so friendly. I love coming to eat here. Early morning weekdays are the best days because it’s quiet.
I like the set up and the lowkey diner feel, it gives a cozy vibe especially for breakfast.

Been once at their old location and came back to try the new one. Pricey breakfast menu but large portion. Good service.

For the third time in a matter of weeks, at 7:30 a.m. on a weekday morning, Brea Lu couldn't provide my breakfast order because they didn't have the ingredients even though my order was straight from their menu. Rather than order something different as I did the previous two times, I left, and to add insult to injury was charged $3.00 for the coffee I didn't drink.

Decided a quick stop was in order as I was hungry and don't know the area. Won't say it a bad, won't say it was good just a mediocre breakfast. Sausage patties are frozen processed, home fries were just that. Eggs (scrambled but I ordered over medium) were fresh hot and cooked well. Toast was hard and dry... So much even a pack of apple jelly could not help. Prices were a little higher than most standard breakfasts so I was disappointed.

Nice little place, the service was great and the blueberry muffin was incredible! But the space is too big for the amount of business they have. It seemed empty.
Great breakfast! The toast was delicious and the service was exceptional. Love the kid book nook, it made our breakfast experience soooo much more enjoyable. Would recommend and will definitely be back!

Not the 🐝's knee's in terms of flavor or cooking skill but it's solid enough. Service is good and their cold boozy coffee is nice.
If you live near Portland you probably have better breakfast options though.
Very long wait for food to arrive and they were not even busy.
Have had breakfast and lunch here on several occasions with various aged people (6-82) and all have enjoyed every aspect of this eatery.
