Istanbul Restaurant and Bakery

We ordered 2 coffees and one water and after 40 minutes no one came to bring them. It is the slowest service I experienced in the US. The food is average and different from typical turkish food. On the chicken shawarma, they added commercial mayonnaise. The coffee was horrible. I never tasted a coffee like this. I couldn't drink it. I came with high expectations due to the 4.4 rating, but it doesn't worth.

It's really bad and not a Turkish restaurant. If you, as a Turk, get your hopes up and go, you will be disappointed like us. Don't waste your time or money.

Delicious food, great atmosphere and friendly staff. They have a great selection of ready foods and drinks. I got takeout for my first try but am looking forward to sitting in.

Place is nice. The casher is sweet . The portion of the food meh. Mostly rice and two samples of chicken. I wish they can charge for extra meat.

Totally scammed. They just warm up frozen kabab and serve it to people .. ruined my appetite.

The reason to give this place five stars is its food, food, and food. We discovered this place accidentally without any recommendations and are glad we did. When we visited, only one person was running the place, who also happened to be the chef. Hence, the service was a little slow. But as soon as the food came, we forgot our waiting period. The falafel plate came with fries and we ordered a side of tzatziki sauce is something I enjoyed thoroughly. We also got chicken shawarma which was absolutely amazing. The quantity was great for both, the main plate and the side. The food tasted fresh and freshly made. They also have a selection of Coke products if you need soda. I don't see a lot of fresh bakery items, not even inquired much. We did order water separately because it wasn't offered but our server/chef was kind enough to not even charge for that. For those who can't bear the heat, I recommend you to sit next to the fan, but otherwise the ventilation is okay. The washrooms were pretty neat. So overall, it was the best experience for me food-wise.

Vegetarian options: Falafel plate comes with a side of fries.

The food is tasty, the decor is very colorful, the staff is very friedly and accommodating. We ordered a falafel plate, a soup, and a beef shawarma plate (but received the chicken one instead, but it was still delicious ???). A free dirt parking lot across the street (July 2024).

The worst food I ate in my life. People are friendly just because of that I gave two stars but I had to write this. It is just a waste of money and time. Literally! Never eaten that terrible tasted dish in my life in any restaurant and in any country. PS: it is not a Turkish restaurant, don’t think it is by the name. Sorry, i hope you can fix this.

The place was dirty, with old rice under the table and a straw. No one sweeps the floor, and the floors are disgusting. The food was gross. I found a seed of peach inside my chicken. I thought I was biting a bone, but it was a giant seed. Someone must have eaten a peach and tossed it with the chicken. It was just gross.

Additionally, the lamb was dry and chewy. Rice looked old as if it had been cooked the day before and reheated. The only positive side was the girl who took our order. She was very nice.

We had the most delicious meal here. The staff was super friendly. I will definitely be returning!
