I've been trying new places out with my grandparents this past week and this place... while the food was a bit mid. What really made me not want to come back was the staff. The lady at the front was so rude and rushed us to finish eating and pay up. When we did pay, they waited over my shoulder as if we werent going to tip them or something. I will not be back. honestly not at all worth it. There are so many other chinese places in the area

I've been living in Maine for almost 2 years and ended up here today thinking I was going to another restaurant, but I'm happy we made the mistake because I will make this place part of my rotation! The food is excellent, and the portions are plenty- the flavor is what I've been craving for many years. I'm happy I found it again! Can't wait to try the rest of the menu!

I just remembered the rice being phenomenal so went again 6-7 years ago to discover that the food was just as great as I remembered. Ever since then, I take the 30 minute drive to this one and only place every time I'm craving Chinese.
Probably because it's the same 2 people behind the counter since I first went, but the food is always the same quality.
Some people in these reviews have complained about the lady yelling but I think she's just trying to speak clearly (their first language is definitely Mandarin) And I'm 100% confident she doesn't mean any rudeness by it as I've had many interactions with the lady and she's always spoken that way, even with a smile on her face.
The husband and her are phenomenal cooks and have their recipes down pact, I can heat up the meal the next day and it taste Just as good, and even when cold, the food is great the next day.
They would probably know me by the guy that always orders 3-4 orders of chicken fingers every order along with the lo mein, gen chicken, pork rice and spring rolls.
Seriously, every item I listed is the best I've ever had at any restaurant (and I've been up and down the east coast at many Chinese places from Maine, Boston, New York, to South Carolina, hey I like Chinese 🤷)

Food ok, not great. Lady working register is rude and abrasive. I had to tell her to be nice, TWICE. I will drive the extra 5 miles to Lotus from now on.
After reading some of the reviews we were hesitant to try it - however, it was PHENOMENAL!
We got the general tso chicken & the orange chicken with pork fried rice - both super saucy and delicious!

The food I ordered was far higher priced than advertised, and clearly had been produced with fake food items, such as chicken made to taste and appear as beef, and mystery meats. This is a widespread problem in China, but I had no idea it was still happening in the United States. Reporting this to the FDA for further investigation, be very careful about ordering from this place if you're going to.

Ordered general tso’s chicken which was more like sweet and savory dough nuggets and Mongolian beef which was some yummy veggies and 6 small pieces of beef. Came with lots of rice though.
