Great food with good size portions and priced right. Just go there and see for yourself.

Since moving from Maine over 10 yrs ago, returning for a visit means seafood takes priority. Even though we got fresh seafood around Miami and now in NC, it’s clearly not all fresh and variety is limited. Swordfish has been my favorite since I was just kid outside of Boston. Not easy to find on menus. One place in Ft. Lauderdale had it occasionally and it was ok. Legal’s was always a favorite when in Boston. Visiting family, Bobs was suggested. So glad we did. Nothing fancy, pretty barebones really. But every seafood dish was great. Nothing heavily seasoned, all very basic. But the swordfish was excellent, tender, juicy, cooked perfectly. My wife had crab rolls that were hugely stuffed with crab and a light amount of mayo. Sides were good too. It was so good we drove over for another meal. Went with clam strips this time and now realize what I thought were fresh back in NC are clearly frozen. These were so far superior it took me back to the hole in the wall my family enjoyed when I was a kid. So tender and nicely fried, not a bit of greasy taste. Nothing fancy here. Just good. Wish I had more time to try some other items.

Often grab lobster rolls to go, and they really are hands down the best. Simple, minimalist, classic. Grilled top split roll, ton of lobster, a little bit of mayo. I think I actually like lobster rolls better now than just eating a lobster..

Nothing was salted, food was pretty bland for the price and portions were limited. Also found several bones in the fish tacos, fried haddock was nothing to write home about. Place looks nice but would not recommend.

Lobster was like rubber; clearly overcooked. A seafood restaurant in Maine should know how to cook lobster. Won't be back.

I had the short rib and it was excellent. My wife and niece had lobster and both were disappointed. The lobster was over cooked and tough.

We were vacationing in Maine and saw great reviews for Bob's. We drove an hour and nine minutes (lol) and it was worth the trip. We asked the gentleman when we ordered and he was honest about what would travel well. The lobster we ordered was great. The clam chowder and Lobster Stew we took home cold heated up nicely. BTW they were both both amazing! He suggested taking the clam cakes frozen and they also heated up perfectly. Got the Beet Salad - fresh and delicious! Five star food and customer service. The gentleman who helped us was young, friendly and red haired with a beard. Owner give him a raise!

Had a great meal here! The bar was welcoming and cozy. Staff is very friendly. I had a pick 3 fried meal, got scallops, shrimp and haddock. I gave 4 instead of 5 stars because the shrimp were good, but I think they were out of a Sysco bag not hand breaded. For the price I paid for my meal, I expected better than popcorn shrimp I can get at Hannafords. Despite the sub par shrimp, the scallops and haddock were amazing, fries were amazing, and I had a cup of the seafood chowder which was out of this world! My only other gripe was prices are a bit steep. 3 item entree with fries, 2 Allagash White draft beers, and a cup of seafood chowder hit my wallet for just over $70.00, which is a bit crazy for 1 person. But overall a great place, great atmosphere, and I will most likely eat there again.

I picked up fresh scallops and shrimp to make for dinner, some stuffed clams for an appetizer, and some whoopie pies for dessert. Everything was delicious!
