Update: Took the part out about the bug in our to go container as that could’ve come from anywhere. But when it comes to the 20% gratuity no longer being added on, we were there last week, October 13, the manager working that day explicitly stated to us that the gratuity was for the kitchen staff and didn’t mention it would be split with the wait staff. But even if the 20% gratuity was still included, we were only a table of 5 (not 6) so it should not have been added to our bill anyways. We had a table of 5, we went around 3:15pm on a Friday, we were seated immediately. Service was ok but food was nothing to write home about. We were charged around $45 of gratuity on our bill, we asked about it and they said they charge gratuity automatically on tables of 6 or more (were were a table of 5) and that they also don’t usually take tables of 4 or more without a reservation so that charge would be paid to the kitchen staff and it was implied that we needed to tip additionally for the wait staff. That would have been fine with us if the restaurant was busy but we were the only ones in there the whole time. We ended up paying almost $100 just in tips.

I had a pizza, onion rings, and a beer. The pizza was homemade and very good. The onion rings were thin and delicious. Of course, the beer was good. The service and atmosphere were fine.

Seated immediately. Our order was taken quickly..our server was great. Paid great attention to detail. Very pleasant. Very friendly. Very courteous. Food came out in a timely manner. Huge portions. Very delicious. We had Blueberry French toast, short stack of Blueberry Pancakes, vegetable omelet with corned beef hash, poached egg with bacon. We did have dietary restrictions and our server was very attentive to that. The food was delicious!!! HUGE PORTIONS!! We did take food home! Thank you!!! We will return!!!

Lobster roll very light for $29. The 22oz beer was a fair price. This being our first meal in Maine was disappointing however other restaurants made up for this place since.

This is generally an acceptable diner/restaurant. They are one of the few choices of restaurants open for dinner in mid September. We ordered take out for two “lazy lobster” dinners. The food was ready for pickup at the indicated time. They were not busy so pickup was easy. However, the portions of lobster were extremely small. It included the two claws and tail meat in butter. With no exaggeration, it was four bites of meat! I have had more in a lobster roll. For $50 a plate this is unacceptable! Watch out, the lobster bites.

This restaurant has been in business for many years. I have visited many Maine restaurants and this was the most perfectly cooked haddock I've found in recent years. I asked for crispy and it was perfect imo. They are NOT stingy with their portions. I also like the options of baked or mashed potato. I'm not always in the mood for fries. My friend had fish and chips and she said it was excellent. The cole slaw was delish as well. My aunt and uncle lived in Winter Harbor for many years and spoke highly of Chase's. I am looking forward to eating there again soon!Parking: Plenty of free parking in back of the restaurant.

How many ways can we tell staff that I am allergic to tomatoes including utensils used to prepare food that is touching tomatoes. I received my order of crab cakes which had a salad loaded with tomatoes and a tomato was on the crab cakeDietary restrictions: See above

Walked in at 1:20p on a Thursday, party of 5, we were sat, given menus, and told what the specials were. Then we sat and we sat for 40 minutes without someone coming over again. Other people came and were seated, served and got their food as we watched…when we decided to simply leave and asked why we were not given service we were told parties of 5 or more needed a reservation….then why seat us, give us menus and tell us the specials???

The food was bland. The fried food was not crispy. Wait staff just did her job, she not pleasant or unpleasant, just indifferent. The atmosphere was casual and OK. I would not go back.

The staffs were so nice that allowed us to have a pickup order at 7:44pm (they close at 8:00pm.). Not sure if it was normal that they put us as dine in and asked for tips. The atmosphere was good. There were two empty tables left only. They were busy. We waited a couple minutes after a dine in customer finished their ordering. Chase’s restaurant would be a place for the locals. The bar area were full of people. We were not allowed to order a whole lobster but a lobster roll. So we ordered two lobster rolls and a seafood platter. The sides we chose fries and mashed potatoes. The seafood was not as good as expected. It’s the same as the restaurants outside of Maine. Since we had a perfect lunch in a restaurant in Bar Harbor yesterday, we had a higher expectation for the restaurants in Maine.

Friendly staff, great food! My wife and I stopped in here after visiting Ravens Nest. I got some delicious lobster bisque soup and chicken tenders and my wife ordered a lobster roll. The food came out quick, and We both enjoyed our meals. If we are in this area again, I would highly consider going back here for lunch / dinner.
