This café has it all, excellent food and top notch service! They serve breakfast and lunch all day, and now offer catering for any of your events with a catering menu option! A true gem...
Tried Gerrish today for the first time! Have been coming to the area for a few years. Today was opening day! Fast and friendly service. We had the clam chowder, soup du jour (Italian wedding), and turkey club. The club was perfectly toasted and balanced- delicious! We can’t wait to come back and try breakfast.
Fix the door...lol Great service and great food.

Came here for breakfast and loved the cozy atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the food! I ordered the Admiral Ben Bagel: Bagel with smoked salmon, cream cheese, tomatoes, onions and capers. I had already eaten half before I remembered to take a picture.
It was a great balance of salty, savory, a little sweet and sour from the tomatoes and capers. I also took a chocolate croissant to go. Would eat here again if we come back to the area!

Stayed in the area for a week while on vacation, and honestly this little diner was one of the most memorable highlights of the trip. Fantastic food, good portions and very reasonable prices. If the weather is right, the tables on the large covered porch are a great spot to have a meal. Had the three meat breakfast burrito two different times and it was terrific!
Sure hope Winter Harbor and the Schoodic area in general aren’t discovered, so to speak, as it is such a nice location to enjoy small town coastal Maine while having reasonable access to (generally overcrowded) Acadia and Bar Harbor.
I discovered this nice café via Google Maps. Nice terrace to sit on and the breakfast was very good!

Stopped in to this sweet restaurant Labor Day weekend after visiting the Schoodic Peninsula and on our way to the airport to fly home. Great food, amazing blueberry pie (with blueberry ice cream), but even better was the customer service. I accidentally left a small bag on the table and didn't realize until we were already at the airport. This wonderful staff shipped my bag all the way to South Carolina for me. Can't beat that! Thank you JM Gerrish's!!
Great place to start the day with coffee and pastry!
