Highly Recommend!! Great food better service! Lindsey was Awesome! Will be back
Have been to the white duck twice before and have had no problem. Unfortunately this last time was not at the case. Called at 12pm. On new years eav and made a reservation for 5pm. The women on the phone was rude and snarky about the call for who knows why? But I made the reservation anyway.
Got there at 4:45 and there was no reservation on the book! After a ton of confusion the manager was very nice and found us a place to sit. We got seated with our menu and that was the last time we saw our server. We waited for a good 15 / 20 min. There was maybe 5 people at the bar and 3 other couples seated at tables. The staff was running around frantically. I think in preparation of the crowd coming in later? Anyways they completely lost track that we were sitting smack dab in the middle of the room and walked by us time after time. That is when we finally got up and walked out. Nobody even noticed anything.
Unfortunately it will be a long time before we go back, or ever. We ended up at another local restaurant who were very busy. They got us in and we had a great meal and service.
Hopefully other people won't have this experience at the duck. It is a nice place with good food. But they really dropped the ball for me.
Thanks

The food tastes amazing. I got the Memphis and the chicken is crunchy seasoned great. Fries tastes delicious. The creamy Mac and Cheese was outstanding. The duck poutine is delightful with the salty duck and gravy. The waiters are so nice. The one waitress we have knows us by name and always welcomes us. The atmosphere is light chatty and fun especially the outside patio. 10/10

They have food listed as vegan that is not vegan. My server had no idea what I was asking about. I asked what was vegan and got read the specials (beef stew? Seriously?) There is a V on the menu that has no meaning at all. It's not vegetarian as none of the vegetarian items are labeled, and it doesn't mean vegan.
The fries were stale and under seasoned
I would avoid this place
Edit: what do you mean you don't have anything labeled vegan. See screenshot from your website. The whole reason we ate here was because of the labelled item.
Also if V is for vegetarian, why is the Mexican corn soup the only thing labelled? There were at least 3 other things that were vegetarian and not labelled at all.

**Review of The White Duck**
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The White Duck, and it was an experience worth sharing! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by the warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for the evening. Our waitress, Barbie, was simply outstanding. Her service felt personal and genuine, like having a sister who was eager to share her favorite foods with us.
My friend and I decided to share a few dishes, and I can confidently say that each one was a delight. We started with the berry salad, which was a vibrant medley of fresh berries and greens, perfectly balanced and bursting with flavor. Next up was the calamari, which was expertly cooked—crispy on the outside and tender inside, served with a zesty dipping sauce that complemented it beautifully. Finally, we indulged in the fish tacos, which were a highlight of the meal. They were not only beautifully presented but also packed with flavor, showcasing the chef's skill in preparation.
Every dish was excellently cooked, prepared, and presented, making our dining experience a memorable one. I highly recommend The White Duck to anyone looking for a fantastic meal in a welcoming environment.

My husband and I had traveled all day, pulling a trailer across the mountains of Vermont and New Hampshire with our Tacoma. We needed something to eat before we arrived at our cabin in Windsor. It was fortuitous timing that when my husband mentioned food, we were approaching the town where I remembered that I had visited last week with my sister. She and I had come to The White Duck to listen to a band that she liked. The food was good that night, so I said to my husband, "I know where we can go,"and quickly Googled the restaurant. It was only 6 minutes away.
Upon arrival, we found a place a bit uphill from the restaurant to park the truck and trailer and walked down the stone steps to the restaurant entrance. We were told that it would be a 40 minute wait, but then we saw two seats at the bar, which we gladly took. The bar staff, though crazily mixing drinks for what seemed to be everyone in the restaurant, were attentive and took our food and drink order. The food was fantastic and the drinks were more than enough for us. Think STRONG--at least my mixed drink with bourbon was! As busy as the restaurant was, I was impressed with how the entire staff seemed relaxed and worked like a well-oiled machine. We could see into the kitchen from the bar, so we got a good perspective on the activity there, too. Everything about the place was clean and neat.
When we were leaving, we stopped by the hostess stand to see whether our names had been called. Our names were next on the list! So we were happy that by sitting at the bar, we had been able to skip that entire wait! The hostess crossed off our names and we left, happy.
Kudos to everyone who was working on this night! Good job! We will definitely keep this on our Go-to list.
