Unique coffee shop in that service (and ownership ?) is by the older retirement age generation. Very cool and unique as every other coffee place has a super young vibe. It felt very local and comfortable! Sweet
Cuppa Jo is the finest place to have breakfast anywhere on Route 1, from Key West to Caribou (does anyone know how Caribou got its name?). The mystery spice bagel is wonderfully aromatic of Middle Eastern spices, and when you slap a couple of perfectly cooked eggs and a slice of Swiss on that bad boy, your mouth will thank you all day. Stopped in for a quick bite and walked out thoroughly impressed. I ordered a cappuccino and an egg & cheese on a bagel, and both absolutely hit the spot.
The cappuccino was smooth, rich, and beautifully balanced - not too bitter, not too milky - just right. You can tell they care about their coffee craft.
