Nice vibe, good food and a cool little bar. Every town should have a place like this.

I don’t like giving a bad review, but my recent experience was so bad, I had to say something.I ordered fish and chips on line and was told to pick up in 1/2 hour. I arrived 5 minutes early, looked for someone to ask about my order, kitchen help had no idea, but summoned a pleasant woman who handed the order over. I figured out that the order had been waiting for some time, because the paper container wasn’t even warm. When I got it home, exactly .5 miles, taking less than 5 minutes, it was cold and soggy. I reheated it successfully, but was appalled at how bad the fish was. It was tough and tasteless. There is no doubt it was made from old, frozen fish. The batter was greasy and tasted of baking powder. In a word, awful! My dog got a couple of bites, I took antacids and dumped it in the garbage disposal. For $29.00 plus taxes and a tip, I expect more. Lesson learned, I won’t be back. It’s too bad; the Owl and Elm was a good restaurant, but in my experience, it has deteriorated significantly.

Great service, food was good but have to say we expected more based on other reviews. Will we be back? Maybe? We wouldn't say no to an invite but we probably wouldn't choose it ourselves: we had a burger and fries, mussels, poutine and a soup. Everything was... fine; the only exceptional thing was the service.

Came in again because I LOVED the duck I had here months ago. Ordered: duck wings: small portion for the price but they were indeed fall of the bone tender, crispy, and smothered in a sweet and savory sauce beef poutine: the cheese curds had melted into puddles but the side ate like a hearty meal, good portion of beef, though fries were just okay double cheeseburger: piled high and juicy but again, just okay Overall I'll still be back supporting the restaurant that has served me some of the best bites of food, but I'll be focused more on their duck or special new items. Check them out on IG for their specials!

New favorite restaurant! Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. We stopped in to check out the menu for take out. Staff was so kind and gave great recommendations. Got the fish and chips and it was the best, especially the house made batter. The coleslaw was so good there are no words to describe it. Only took 10 minutes! We will be back!!!

Cute little neighborhood tavern vibes. Got a reservation and loved our meals and server, it was busy. I'd go back and eat there again

Loving the rebirth. They offer the best choice of food in town and the most seasonal options. The ginger bisque they have currently is excellent, as is everything else I've had so far. Portions are impressive, but I don't think anyone would complain if they were maybe 10 to 20% smaller. Take-home is a nice option.

I have been eager to try Owl and Elm and was really glad to get a chance! They have a small, inside dining space, with a few high tables close to the door and then some low tables to the side of the bar. They were very busy when we went on a Friday night, so I was glad that we had made a reservation. They seemed short on staff, because it took about 5-10 mins for a hostess to take our names and clear a table and then once we were seated, they were slow to fill water glasses and bring us drinks--the drinks came out at the same time as the food. The duck burger was really tasty and unique, though the bun was soggy (even before the over-easy fried egg soaked the bun). The fries were delightfully crispy! I ordered a drink but they were low on the batch-made cocktail, so they generously gave me the remaining bit on the house. I was surprised to learn that a $15 cocktail was batch made, but maybe that is standard for small bars and restaurants? It is very loud during peak hours (like Friday night dinners), so not ideal for anyone hard of hearing. But the interior is cute and cozy and Owl and Elm is definitely worth checking out.Parking: Lots of spaces out front along main street
