Ordered to go shrimp with mashed potatoes with beef gravy got chicken gravy, they put the mashed potatos/gravy in with the shrimp. The shrimp were all saturated with chicken gravy/soggy, the mashed potatoes were hard, real firm, brownish colored, stiff not creamy at all they needed more milk and/or butter. The worst meal I got there in 15 years.

Breakfast is amazing. I'm never disappointed when I come here. Fast food, friendly service. These are the typical meals you'll find in SE Michigan. Midwest comfort food with a couple of southern and Tex/Mex dishes.

We stopped in Adrian to pick up an online purchase at Staples and decided to get a bite to eat. We chose the Country Skillet because they were close and just had that sound of a good, down-to-earth family restaurant. Wow! We were not disappointed!! We had a lovely waitress who did a great job, the coffee was superb (and they provide french vanilla creamers!) and the prices were amazing compared to the mainstream. We both ended up ordering the grilled chicken breast dinner, which was two small breasts, and it came with choice of potato (we chose au gratin - or "cheesy"), vegetable, good-sized salad and rice pudding. All that for $9.99! And, it all tasted great! The restaurant was well-lit and the bathrooms were very clean. We know that the next time we're in Adrian where we'll stop for food! Thanks, Country Skillet!
