My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner tonight. We each had the Chicken Parmesan and ended the meal with White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake. Everything was delicious, service was excellent, and the atmosphere was great. Can’t wait to go back to sit on the beautiful patio! Highly recommend!

This was our first time at Sauce. The Mediterranean Chopped Salad was delicious. The veggie pizza had fresh vegetables and basil, but there was no discernible pizza sauce (so we don't know if the famous marinara sauce is any good), not enough cheese, and the vegetables were sparing rather than generous. The service was friendly, but a major error was that our salad was brought out at the same time as our pizza. As a former dining room and nightclub manager, the salad should be brought out first, and the pizza after the salad is finished. I have never known an Italian restaurant to serve a salad or appetizer at the same time as the main course. We felt rushed. We sat outside (the outdoor seating area is quite nice). From my seat I could see the cobwebs on the uncleaned window sills. These should be wiped clean each evening. Also, it was a Tuesday evening, the restaurant wasn't too busy, and no manager made their way around to check on tables and say hello to guests. This is sort of an unwritten rule at good upscale restaurants. Finally, an older couple was seated next to us and told by the hostess, "Somebody will be by as soon as we figure out who will be serving you " You don't ever announce your disorganization to customers. The only proper thing to say is "Your server is (name) and will be with you shortly." This restaurant has the potential to be five stars but was only three to three and a half stars on this evening.

Talk about a hidden gem in a small town. Great atmosphere and service. The food was impeccable. Street parking can be tight. A must visit if you are in the area.

My boyfriend and I were so excited to go here for my birthday before going to a show at the Croswell. When we called, we were told there was no wait, but when we arrived 5 minutes later, it was a 30 minute wait, which we were fine with. They took my number and we were told we would be contacted when our table was ready. I watched the host write down my phone number and verified it's correct. It's now the next already and we were still never contacted for our table, however they were able to accommodate multiple large parties while we stood there and waited. We finally ran out of time and had to stop at Rallys before our show. I'm highly disappointed in the lack of communication from the staff.

Stopped in for a bite to eat. I liked the lasagna. Bar is one side, restaurant is on the other; the same food and drinks available on both sides. Parked on street during evening.

Wish bread / garlic bread would have come with dinner. There is an option if you want to pay for it as an appetizer.

I can make better Italian food myself. This is below Olive Garden quality which isn’t saying much and the portions are tiny. I’ve been here twice and am massively underwhelmed. Done with this place

Very small portion of spaghetti. Bread and salad extra, so pricey.

Vegetarian options: Not a lot of options

Amazing food and excellent service. We sat at a high top in the “bar” side of the restaurant. Very attentive service and the food was top notch. We are in from out of town but if passing through again, would definitely stop. Healthy pours of wine is always a bonus!!

Our daughter has been at SHU for almost 2 years and my husband and I have often said we can't wait to try Sauce, that adorable Italian joint in downtown Adrian! After moving the kid in this semester we decided to finally make time.

I will go back at a different time perhaps for an early dinner or lunch before I make a permanent judgment. We were there an hour before close and it was extremely empty. There was no music on. We were alone in the dining room and the only sounds came from staff in the kitchen talking to each other which is fine just awkward when it's so clear. Our server was friendly but often left for long periods of time before returning.

Food was good. Nothing stood out as special or delicious but again it might have been the time we arrived. I did however dislike the brushetta, as I've never had cold garlic bread with warm tomatos and melted globs of cheese on top called brushetta. There was nothing fresh or refreshing about it so I wouldn't get it again but if you're a big cheese person you'd likely enjoy it.

We definitely wanted to looove this place because the building and atmosphere seems like it would be a cool place but it just didn't work out. Seemed like an off night or something.
