we stopped at Bob's Place on a whim. We were pleasantly surprised! We were greeted right away by staff. We opted to sit on the bar side. We ordered a drink and an appetizer (poutine) to start with. The poutine was absolutely delicious. We then ordered their special, double smash burger. Well, that was delicious also. I had to take half of it home.
The staff was very attentive and kind. The owner even checked on us at one point.
If you’re traveling near Alanson, Michigan, Bob’s Place is a must-stop! Just 20 minutes south of the Mackinac Bridge, this charming diner serves up delicious, hearty meals with a side of great hospitality. My wife and I had the Reuben sandwich with French onion soup, and both were absolutely fantastic—perfectly seasoned and comforting. I had the grilled breakfast burrito and it was delicious. The tortilla was perfectly cooked. The ingredients were moist and cooked perfectly.
The service was Great!!! Highly recommended the dish and the restaurant!!
On a side note . I was working so I couldn't enjoy what looked like a great local bar area.. But I will be back soon to check it out!!
