This cinnamon bread has been a family fav for over 55 years. It has attended multiple family reunions as well as been shipped throughout the United States(multiple loafs at a time ). Sad to say but inside cinnamon mixture of the inner rolls no longer hold the yummy syrupy cinnamon and sugar pockets of my memories. Every year the filling appears less and less to the point of being absent. If you read this please consider returning the cinnamon and sugar magic of my memories.

10 years ago I set out on a journey stopping along the way through different states rating different bakeries and primarily cinnamon rolls and fritters. The Dutch oven is good but I think way too much sugar is used. I've tried johanns in Petoskey, and I have to be honest that Johannes has the better of the two . The staff at the Dutch oven bakery is wonderful don't get me wrong. Donuts are just a little too sweet if that makes sense. Johanns makes a better fritter in my opinion as well. The best I've had is in picayune Mississippi. He's got a restaurant they're dedicated to apple fritters and no one can touch those.

I love donuts. Not enough places sell donuts anymore. Seems like Meijer and Walmart get frozen donuts delivered from some factory and pretend they're fresh.
This place is still selling great donuts and they're making them fresh. I try to stop and get a couple every time I go by. Haven't had a bad donut and the staff is always friendly.

I had to try the cherry pie. Glad I did, it is the best on the this planet or any other! You will never see a cherry pie with so many cherries. They are the darkest and most flavorful cherries I have ever tasted and the texture was perfect too. Not too much filling be cause there is barely any room and the crust was perfect also, very light just the right texture also. I bought a whole pie and it must have weighed close to 19 pounds. 2 of us ate it in 3 days. I live in Texas now and I am going to have them ship their pies to me when cherry season is going. Everything else looked exquisite as well! Take a look at these photos. Have you ever seen a cherry pie that was so dark and so stuffed with cherries?

They didn’t have pasties or quiche, both which they advertise. I guess they were out? Cold brew was the worst I’ve ever had. Def missed the mark. Very dated and or atmosphere as well.
Bakery is a must visit. Their cinnamon bread is excellent and makes awesome french toast. Staff is friendly. Lots of variety.
