Albion used to be a great place but it’s going down quickly. I’m glad I left when I did

I already had negative feelings about my time at Albion ranging from homophobia and transphobia on an administrative level I personally experienced, to issues with racism ranging from overt to colorblind I witnessed. The way they’ve handled the pandemic and the recent unaddressed sexual harassment claims just showed me they really do not care about their students. Look through the google sheet FAQ, why can’t students just opt into online learning if they’re uncomfortable returning? Not to mention the covert classism I feel like telling students they need medical documentation or to go through a petitioning process to be able to take classes remotely, and telling students they still have to pay for parking, of telling students just to order out for groceries using pay-to-use subscription services. I made a joke about them caring more about residential housing money than students wellbeing but the more I read the more they are proving me right.
