Place has good food and friendly people, what more can you ask for
This was the second attempt the wife and I made to go here. The first time was on a Thursday. Google and their sign said they were open until 10pm when we arrived before 9 after driving from Jackson, we were turned away as we were parking out front. Then the guy begrudgingly said he could make a pizza if we wanted but he seemed annoyed so we declined.
We tried to visit again last night which was a Friday night around 9pm. We walked in and all the seats were empty and the place was dimly lit. There were 3 of the staff sitting around chatting with each other at one of the tables. We’d asked if they were open, and the guy rudely responded, “uh yeah hence the neon flashing open sign”. So we were seated and the young lady asked if we’d like some drinks, my wife asked if they had a Long Island, the waitress said she could make one but it’s non-alcoholic. The man then interjects and says, “do you guys have an open mind, or are you looking to get hammered?!” At this point I’d had enough of this guy and his attitude so we politely said we’re leaving, he said he could explain the whole non-alcoholic liquor thing but I said that won’t be necessary.
I just wanted a beer with my burger, and the wife wanted a Long Island with her dinner hence the reason we went to what we thought was a pub, not some Fisher-Price pretend pub.
Pub (noun)
: an establishment where alcoholic beverages are sold and consumed
We stopped here for breakfast and the food was fantastic. The staff is very kind and accommodating. So great to have a place like this is Albion!
What an absolutely wonderful restaurant. The food is fantastic! The service is exceptional! Hands down the best cheesecake I have ever had, heaven in your mouth. Prices so reasonable it was like stepping back in time. True hidden gem!
Great find. Locally owned. Food was very good, owner was friendly, service was great. Decor was fresh, clean & very nice.
Great Service, atmosphere and wide variety of food options for everyone. I have never had anything that wasn’t excellent. Health conscious options as well, so not just for carnivorous folks. A great addition to downtown Albion.
Had breakfast here with a friend this morning and we loved it! My eggs, hashbrowns, sausage patties and sourdough toast were absolutely perfect. Highly recommend you stop in for breakfast. I’m looking forward to going again to try lunch/dinner items and some of their thirst quencher/redbull chiller drinks. Thanks for being open and awesome today Trackside!
Had lunch here today. Another couple of guest had wraps. So I ordered a wrap as well. Super delicious! asked our waitress what kind of oil they used to deep fry their foods in and she said they don't, they use beef tallow! it was like music to my ears! expensive lunch but worth it! won't be the last time I'll be here! See yall soon Trackside!
Fantastic food, wonderful service, and a very neat little pub.
I highly recommend Trackside Eatery! The food is high quality and everything is fresh. The french fries taste like what I remember from years gone by before they became a chemical experiment in fast food restaurants. A “must try” is the milk bread sandwiches. Delicious!! The service is always top notch with attention to detail & very friendly. I love that they have a donation program for the needy to stop in, no questions asked and order a meal. It is a much needed addition to our now growing Albion eateries.

My first visit was today with my 9 year old. The server was friendly. We sat next to the bar . The owner was behind the bar talking to 3 gentleman sitting there. He was loudly talking about how when Trump was campaigning, people were vandalizing his campaign signs. He then proceeded to refer to said individuals as "p*ssies". He is a self proclaimed patriot so he fixed these signs. He then said, he has better gyros than galazios in Albion, because he knows a guy. He also referred to himself as an a**hole during that part of the rambling session. He stood there and tooted his own horn, while the server waiting on us was clearly struggling. The waffle fries were cooked all of the way, but still white. I'm 100% sure the frozen pretzel sticks were microwaved. The mocktail I ordered didn't arrive until our food was almost gone. All the while he's voicing political views, trash talking other Albion businesses and swearing. They didn't lose my business because the food was average or because my drink took too long. They lost my business because I wanted to relax and have dinner with my kid, and was unable too because the owner isn't cut out for the hospitality business. I now understand why they can't find cooks and alot of the photos of their food are AI generated. I was extremely disappointed.
Ownership is unprofessional and not trustworthy, be cautious.
A great find downtown Albion. Fresh ingredients!! Appetizers and pizza are amazing. Stop in for a bite to eat, you’ll be glad you did.
Owner was very nice and told Us about the place... hand ground meats
Great Food
We ordered takeout here with high hopes. But the quality of food and portion size did absolutely not match the price. The Burger patty was moist and juicy, which is the only positive thing I can really say about the food. Similar to other reviews, we found the food was absolutely not hand made, (maybe barring the burger - which was missing toppings), and felt like a GFS special. Truly a disappointment, I hope they can turn things around because we prefer to support local businesses, and the staff were warm and friendly.
