I’ve been there two times now and have loved the food both times! Clean atmosphere with friendly staff. But if you want the absolute best of both… ask for Gabby! Had her my first visit and she definitely made my visit better! Very attentive, and very friendly. She did not have my table my second visit but she remembered us from last time and came over to the table to say hello. We will definitely be requesting her from now on as she made the visit way better. Thank you Gabby 🥰

First time in today & let me just say I will ABSOLUTELY be back. Hands down one of the best authentic, Mexican restaurants I have been too. The flavor, the presentation, the service - top notch. Even the drinks were amazing! Highly recommend the frozen margaritas. The service was fantastic, Jessica was so refreshing, & made our first experience even better!!! Definitely impressed with this place. Highly, highly recommend. You will NOT be disappointed.

Went for the 1st time from a recommendation from a friend. BEST authentic Mexican food we’ve ever had!!! It was fantastic!!! Service and food is muy bueno!!!

One of my most favorite places to eat by us. The food is delicious and the Atmosphere is great we've never had bad food or service. We highly recommend if your in the area. We've taken my husband's Uncle & Lady friend they enjoyed themselves also.

Love this place! Great food- my go to is the fajita quesadilla. This is a weekly spot for me and it never disappoints time after time. Great people and a caring place that is growing and constantly trying to make improvements- not that it needs any!

The food that I had ordered had a bizarre taste. It did not taste like authentic fresh Mexican food. I did not end up finishing my meal. Next day, had severe food poisoning. Do not recommend this restaurant as they do not know how to safely cook and prepare food. Go to Los Amigos in Muskegon instead.

We have been to this restaurant multiple times. Every time we have great service. Their food is some of the best I’ve had for him Mexican restaurant. They have a great selection on the menu and their prices are reasonable. We love the atmosphere, especially sitting outside on the patio. I typically get the chimichanga or a burrito. They’re ground beef is the best anywhere that I have found.

Parking: If they are extremely busy and the parking lot is full, you can park across the street at true value

Extremely Disappointing Experience

I recently visited 5 de Mayo, and what should have been a pleasant lunch turned out to be a frustrating and overpriced ordeal. My experience was marred by subpar food quality, poor service, and a lack of understanding from the staff.

Key points to consider:

• Portion sizes were smaller than anticipated for the price paid
• Chicken enchilada was dry and had an unpleasant chalk-like flavor
• Margarita was not prepared to my taste preferences
• Request to remove unwanted drink from bill was denied
• Found a hair in the complimentary salsa

What made matters worse was the staff's handling of my concerns. Despite expressing dissatisfaction with my meal, particularly the margarita, I felt pressured to consume food that I didn't enjoy. This approach completely undermined my attempt to take a mental break during lunch. Instead of accommodating my requests or offering alternatives, I was essentially bullied into finishing dishes that left me feeling unwell and dissatisfied.

The final insult came when I requested to have the unwanted and completely full drink removed from my bill due to its poor quality. Not only did they deny this request, but it seemed like they were unwilling to listen to my legitimate complaints about the food and service.

In today's economic climate, maintaining high standards is crucial for businesses to thrive. Unfortunately, this establishment fell short in several critical areas. I sincerely hope that management takes customer feedback seriously and addresses these issues promptly to prevent future diners from experiencing such disappointment.

Really delicious food! I believe I found my new favorite Mexican restaurant! We shared quesadillas and ceviche, so fresh and flavorful!Our server, Griselda, was delightful and attentive. Clean, colorful and inviting atmosphere!
