Dropped in for a late lunch last weekend. The sandwiches are large and flavorful. We really enjoyed the chicken parm and turkey club. Definitely a "do over" next time in Alma.
The bartenders and cooks are great, but the owner barks out orders at his staff and is very unfriendly. I was there for lunch today and he ignored us. He had 1 cook and 1 waitress working and it was slammed. The owner poured himself a soft drink, sat at the bar and did not help his 1 waitress at ALL! I’ve been working for 32 years and the best bosses I’ve ever had get down in the trenches and help their staff. Common sense, but that it lost nowadays:-/
Our American Legion Riders Howell Post 141 was doing our annual popcorn run. We had called ahead to see if they could accommodate 30 of us, which they were able to. It was a Sunday afternoon. I THINK they had 1 barmaid, 1 waitress & 1 cook. They got our drinks & orders put in within record time. Food was flying out hot, fast, accurate AND delicious!
