We came down from Canada for the hat burning event . Great spot for the event . Had dinner before and was very surprised the management only had one server . She was amazing and her co worker who was off from her shift jumped in to give a helping hand. .They rocked it and yes hats off to all of them including the kitchen staff who came out and helped . Great job ladies 🌻👒

Stopped by on 10/27 around 1040 am. The website states that the taproom opens at 10. We sat down at the bar- there was a female employee (taller, brunette) who seen us walk and in continue to put down chairs. We waited for a bit before this individual walked around the bar and was very weird about telling us they didn’t open until 11 (the website states 10). She seemed annoyed that we walked in and sat down. It would have been nice if this individual let us know when we walked in initially instead of ignoring us.
I get being annoyed but we genuinely didn’t know and were put off by this individual’s demeanor. We like to bring our dog with us when we visit several times per year but I think we will be avoiding this place for some time.

We came here for my 50th birthday dinner. The Autumn cranberry wine is sooo good!! I had the chicken grain bowl that was very filling, the seasonal veggies were done to perfection and the chicken was not dry. Great friendly service!!

If I could give them a zero for service, I certainly would. We waited 1.5 hours only to find out the waitress never put our order in and when we talked to her about it she just smirked and was sarcastic. My friend is a type I insulin dependent diabetic and I explained to the waitress my friends sugar levels were falling and we were concerned, she was unhelpful, unconcerned and downright rude.
We didnt come in to have lunch expecting to wait over 1.5 hours so we had to leave and went elsewhere for lunch after waiting an hour to be seated and being seated for .5 hour and not receiving our order. All I can say is I will Never go back. We have been there before and food was good but NOT great, just ok and expensive for the value. I don't feel the Blake family, or Andrew Blake whom I met previously would have approved of how this was handled but it really felt like the wait staff was ultra focused on the tables ordering alcohol and serving those buying it.
There's alot of other great places to eat and gather in Almont; Roots Restaurant, Mikeys Bar, Senor Victor's and Joe's Brunch to name a few so Blake's Backyard, I will not be back or support locally after this experience!!

We attended a wedding here and it was absolutely beautiful! They catered the short rip and some kind of chicken with white sauce and it was absolutely excellent. Some of the best wedding food we’ve ever had. The greenhouse where they hosted the ceremony and reception was temperature controlled, well decorated, clean, and very beautiful.
The staff was friendly and helpful and we enjoyed the opportunity to look around the grounds and explore their gift shop. They have a very well diversified business model with lots of things to do and see.
We actually came here during the day today 10/13/24 & then came back at 6pm. The food, the staff, the ciders are amazing. We came out to the fire pit and Mandy does an amazing job, keeping Firewood on the pits to keep us all warm.

Went there last Friday. Rented a fire ring from 6 to 9 pm. The staff didn't seem to know if we ordered our food at the bar or had a server. They gave us a server eventually. We were given logs and a picnic table to sit on. These rings are placed right up by the road where it's also quite loud from the passing traffic. The food took over an hour to come out. We asked one of the servers about the food to which he replied, "whose your server? Ask them." It was pitch black at our table, thus, we were unable to really see our food. This is all so unfortunate as they have a great place, a good product but seem to be overwhelmed the last 2 times we've been there.
10/08/2024 update: Went back again this Tuesday evening, 6 pm. Wanted to like this place. Stood waiting to be seated, no one looked at us. None of the tables had food on them. Either the manager needs to be fired or they just can't find anyone to work here.

We recently visited Blake’s Backyard for the first time and were looking forward to checking out everything they have to offer.
The atmosphere is inviting, with a sprawling outdoor space, market, and taproom, making it perfect for a casual, family friendly outing. And their outdoor space is dog friendly!
The food did not disappoint—we especially enjoyed the cheese curds, Hot Smash Burger with chips, and Mediterranean Flatbread. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the crafted cocktails added a nice touch to the meal.
However, the service was notably slow, which was the only downside. Despite the fact that it wasn’t very busy, it took a while for our server to greet us, and the wait for food was longer than expected. The staff was friendly and even acknowledged that the delay, but based on other reviews, this seems to be a recurring issue. Due to the slow service we didn’t have enough time to check out their other offerings.
