We used to come here a lot when we lived in Lowell. We were in town and showing our kids all our favourite places we used to go and stopped here, but they only took cash. To prevent devastating my kids after 20 minutes of promising ice cream, my husband had to go across the road to get cash back at the gas station which was annoying. The soft serve was good, but I felt like the amaretto and the vanilla soft serve tasted almost identical
I am so tired of this!!! I love their ice cream and food. However I am so upset right now. It doesn't matter how many times you ask them not to over fill your cone or locomotion they do. I had a delicious Hawaiian one and it started melting and overflowing before I got to my car. I ended up throwing it away because of the mess and only got 3-4 bites. So frustrating.
Great cold treat selection!
I've lived in Lowell for 10 years and only went here one time because the experience was terrible. Waited with kids for a long time in a long line and the person ahead of me ordered food but when I tried to order they said no food, kitchen closed. Then they gave me the wrong ice cream after I double checked with them before taking it because cherry makes me sick. Never went back, don't recommend.
I went here at 4:50 for a baby twist and a large shake..about 10 people come and go with theirs..o just thought an ice cream machine was down or something.. finally my husband calls them at 5:10 because I’m with a screaming baby and they’re full of attitude and like “well maybe your WIFE should have come said something.” So I guess they want me to cut this mile long line and say where the heck is MINE!? Not good customer service. I’ll just drive to Lowell even though I live 1 minute down the road.
My families favorite ❤️

The idea of a ice cream shop inside the Caboose is a wonderful idea. Have any kiddo interested in trains and this is a place you must visit. While you dont actually get to be inside the Caboose, the that is where the ice cream magic happens ... adds to its mystery and coolness. You do get to see the train car on the original tracks if you walk around to the backside of the shop which is really neat to see. Our service was great, fast and everyone of the customers seemed happy and the environment was a positive one. They food choices and ice cream options were simplified but there is definitely something for everyone. We will visit again!
Parking: Lots of space, not exactly spots per say but rather open space to park on land or dirt.
Kid-friendliness: Caboose idea is great. They have outdoor picnic tables under open tents. Also they have a cute cut out for pictures while you wait for your icecream.
Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp option up to the caboose/ice cream shop front. Which was also helpful for strollers as well.

Shrinkflation finally hit the caboose. Over $5 for this little sundae cup. Smallest large sundae I have ever seen.
