We have been going here for decades. Really an overall great shop that is friendly and cozy although a little spartan in decor. Over the years the product quality has shifted back and forth. Sometimes great, sometimes not so much. Like many other companies they experienced growing pains and quality control issues. What really separates Achatz from many others is that they have managed to regroup and get that original quality back once again. There is easy parking, They are Leader Dog friendly and do have a wheelchair ramp. However those who may need the ramp should be aware that if they arrive in the last 30 minutes of business that ramp might not be accessible as they pull in the cafe tables for the evening. Double crust pies are our favorite. Pot Pies are in my view a direction they should rethink if not just abandon. They have coffee drinks at this location and the cookies are scrummy as well. No matter how you slice it a slice of pie and coffee while watching a Holiday tractor parade in Armada is getting mighty close to my idea of heaven.

The second time we had they're pie.What a disappointment,this time was lemon meringue.Tjr crust was terrible.Not an original achatz pie crust at all.Will not be back

Dietary restrictions: They offer No Sugar Added pies which is an amazing addition!
