In August my wife of 48 years was in a Troy hospice and had spent the her first night with her. I was hungry and went to this Cafe that I found near the hospice facility to eat breakfast. The waitress asked if I was waiting for someone and had told her that I was alone because my wife was in hospice and I was hungry. She was very kind and I ordered breakfast. I ate my food, which was very delicious and asked for my bill so I could get back to my wife. She insisted that I need get back to my wife and my bill was taken care of. I wanted to pay but she insisted that I should get back with my wife. I thanked her and left the Cafe thinking there are many good people working there. I don't remember her name but I want people to know that this Cafe will always be in my memories. Thank you Family Table Cafe for the wonderful food and kindness!

The staff are very courteous, you cannot ho wrong with the soup, chicken or tortilla, every sandwich has been amazing too. The Monte Cristo special was exceptional and the house-made chips are fantastic. Best dining experience in the area.
