If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I pulled up to the drive-thru and was told to “hold on.” A few seconds later, another car pulled up in the next lane and was helped immediately, while I continued waiting. That already didn’t feel fair — and it only got worse from there.

When the employee finally returned, I told him I had a code from the official McDonald’s app. I read the code to him and his response was, “Are you joking?” — which was incredibly unprofessional. He then asked me to pull up to the window, so I did, and I physically showed him the code on my phone. He said the code “wasn’t working,” so he couldn’t give me the free item. I responded respectfully that this wasn’t my fault — it’s McDonald’s app — and if the code won’t scan, they should honor it or figure out a solution. I even asked them to please comp the item, since the app clearly showed the deal on my phone.

He then called over a manager, and somehow the service got worse. She was rude, dismissive, and claimed the app was a “third-party app,” which makes absolutely no sense because I was using the McDonald’s app at McDonald’s. When I asked for her name, she refused to give it and wasn’t even wearing a name tag.

So I asked how I could escalate the issue. She told me to call the store and speak to her supervisor on Monday (12/29) — but then refused to provide the supervisor’s name AND said she didn’t even know the store’s phone number. This is a manager saying she doesn’t know the number to the restaurant she runs.

I’ve worked in the industry for years, and this is exactly the type of management that destroys customer trust — rude, misinformed, and unwilling to help when something goes wrong. It wasn’t about the free item — I had other food in my order — it was about the principle and basic customer service.

In the end, I left without buying anything. If you can’t treat customers with respect or resolve simple app issues, maybe a customer-facing job isn’t the right fit. Truly disappointing experience from start to finish.

I hate giving 1 star because people are nice and make sure you’ve been helped which is rare because with the apps and kiosks, most people ignore customers now. But idk what i have to do to get food like the people in these positive reviews. I’ve only gotten good food here once. Every other time it’s like today. Either the fryer needs cleaning and new oil or they are dropping dead food back into grease and serving it. It’s disgusting and we can taste the oil. and they are not even salting the fries after they drop them back into the grease. So you get warm, stale, tasteless fries with not even salt. And the nuggets do NOT taste the same after being redropped. It’s disgusting and FRUSTRATING. Please stop doing this to me. I rarely eat fast food because no one cares about what they serve. But please bro, sometimes I just want some mcnuggets and fries. Why can’t I just get them served the way they are supposed to be. I am not even asking for Made to Order but stop serving dead leftovers and making them worse by putting them in grease again. Literally about to cry I am so frustrated by this. Over and Over. We are not stupid…

One of by far the worst McDonald’s in Michigan their customer service was terrible and some worker named Adriana was by far one of the worst Fast food workers I’ve ever met. She shouldn’t even have a job the way that she talks to a customer is unacceptable no matter where you working at. You should still treat people with respect cause sweetheart respect is what was given first but to be disrespectful is crazy, especially to somebody who is paying, literally willing to pay for some food. It’s outrageous. Honestly, they’re very lucky that I don’t know who the manager is because babe we need to have a chat like seriously that is so unprofessional and it is downright inappropriate how she acted. I’m very surprised that she even got a job McDonald’s need to seriously consider who they actually hired because people like that shouldn’t be At the window or in the establishment in general cause why are you acting rude to a customer?.

No soda fountain in the lobby of this location, they seem to be disappearing from all locations. Our food was made correctly and quickly, just no fountain is disappointing as every other fast food chain has them and now its a hassle to have to ask for a refill.

Waited and watched the entire line clear while I was sitting at a fake window that leads into a vestibule. Next time im staying at the window they just take your money and get you off their timers to appease corporate that timer system needs to go.

Each time I went to this McDonald's by Great Lakes Crossings they gave me old fries. So I had to ask them for freshly cooked fries and had to wait. This should not be happening, we paid for freshly cooked hot food and we should get it without having to ask for it. Please do better. It used to not be this way...

Came thru the drive thru and asked for a second the person told me to let him know when I was ready and we sat in line for 2 mins and not a peep or a hold on or anything.. after 2 mins of sitting in silence we ended up driving up to the window and we see a guy leaning over the table playing on his phone.. fr?? Took him a min to even notice us sitting at the window and he said I take line 1 orders someone else in the front is taking line 2, we place our order and he shakes his head as we drive off. Very unprofessional

56 years of McDonald's and this is the first one I've seen that doesn't do refills on soft drinks. I had to double-check to make sure I wasn't on some prank show. What's next - charging extra to use a napkin?
