This was an excellent dining experience. Amazing food, excellent service, peaceful atmosphere. We had the Mushroom Risotto and Chicken Piccata. Both were mouth watering and delicious.

On the whole a better than average experience, nice menu, nice setting. Last two times have been a little sub par

4 of us had dinner here after a WMU aviation graduation event. 2 of us had whitefish which came with potatoes and carrots. Whitefish was perfectly prepared. My wife had salmon that she also was very pleased with. My MIL had sirloin steak that she said was tasty and prepared how she liked. We topped it off with a piece of peanut butter pie that we all shared. Very good! Our service was outstanding! I’m sorry I forgot our waitress’s name, I would have liked to recognize her. The manger also stopped by our table to check on us. Would highly recommend

Not at all what I expected when we noticed it driving by (thought sandwich and chips). I had the Lake Superior Whitefish and my husband the Cajun Pasta. Delicious!

Dinner is always delicious but tonight I boxed it early so I could have some dessert. The Apple butter cheesecake with some decaf coffee was superb. Should have taken a photo. The peanut butter pie with Oreo crust is also lovely.

One of the best kept secrets in Michigan. you would never guess this little spot in Augusta Michigan would serve such quality food. Also, the owner and the people working there are absolutely awesome! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Great food but very misleading. I came in looking for a simple meal from a cafe. What I found was a diner trying to pass itself off as a 5 start restaurant with higher end prices. Again, the meal and the service was fantastic. But they seem to have an identity problem here. It looks simple from the outside, but can easily get packed with well dressed people dining on the inside. If you want a good, classy meal and don't mind paying a premium rate, this is a good place to go. But there are better places to go if you want to experience the entire atmosphere normally included with the prices they charge here. And do not get me started with the alcohol prices! I am a bourbon and scotch collector, so I am familiar with paying hefty prices for top shelf beverages. But the prices for whiskey here were higher than my normal top shelf prices I am used to, even though they were not what I would consider to be top shelf bottles. For reference I have in my collection Jack Daniels Sinatra Select, The Glenlivet 21 Year Archive, Crown Royal XR (La Salle), Nick Offerman Edition Lagavulin, Distiller's Edition Oban, and several others. I have gifted Johnny Walker Blue away, and consider it to be "not that great" compared to some of my other whiskies. So I am used to paying a premium. But they are charging more for local no-name bourbons here than I have found rarities like Old Pappy Van Winkle in other establishments. I have paid less for a very healthy pour of Suntory's Hibiki Japanese whiskey at the bar inside of a Hilton hotel restaurant, where prices are normally higher than average, than the no-name whiskey prices here. After walking in and realizing what kind of place this was, I was fine with the dining prices. I could have walked out, but did not. And I really did enjoy the meal. I also ordered dessert for both of us. But I actually took offense to the whiskey prices here. And I have a $300 bottle of scotch in my personal collection. To summarize, this is a fancy but cramped restaurant with the atmosphere and ambiance of a diner that has had a new paint job and the lights turned down. Their name and location misrepresents them as a simple cafe, while they are definitely much more than that. If you want good food at a premium price, this is a great choice. If you want the dining experience and ambience that normally go along with the prices charged here, then go elsewhere. They do try, but this venue is just too small for the type of dining experience they are attempting to provide here. This is an attempt to be an upscale casual dining experience inside the shell of a small diner.

This place is great. I drove by it a number of times and just thought it was a sandwich shop. Boy was I wrong. This is a hidden gem in the small community of Augusta. Once discovered, I have been here a number of times. The service is always great. Every meal has been cooked to perfection. Their meat is from a local meat market and the rest Michigan made, when possible. I highly recommend this place.

This was the worst restaurant experience that my husband and I of 38 years(it is our anniversary) ever ever ever had.Our waitress was very calm an accommodating. Although she informed us they were out of bread, not even any sandwich bread, and our meal was over an hour late. As I ordered a special dessert, I could see my husband was talking with the owner. When I arrived back at our table my husband was very upset that the owner only had excuses and no apology. So I went to the owner to explain our dinner concern and she was behind the bar constantly interrupting me with all their excuses for a bad day. Which our waitress already used for missing items on the menu and switches on our order after said order was received and we mentioned not getting what was promised. I calmly explained as a business owner, you would want to calm your customers with service and maybe comping a dessert rather then finding excuses.. She SLAMMED her hands down on the bar on either side of me and said, "I am done with you!" I returning to our table, Amber, waitess, returned with bad news that the special dessert I'd ordered was not available. She asked if we wanted anything else, I said no, just the bill please and she said "you don't talk to me that way." Obviously no tip and won't be gong back. The food was good, but I don't expect the chef to stay long. So sad! WE WILL NEVER EVER VISIT THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN! ?

Unfortunately I can not give a favorable rating, despite the fact that the food and ambience are quite good in this little Cafe that does seem to have a loyal local following. The problem we had was one of a poor attitude by the owner who did not want to hear ANY constructive criticism when several things were not going well for us. She only made excuses and ended up being quite rude to my wife and I. We made reservations a little later than the typical dinner hour to avoid getting what was described as their worst table neer the door available for an earlier reservation. But when we arrived that is where we ended up being seated after all. Apparently they had been slammed by a nearby theater crowd after the show let out.. so they were out of bread and several other sides and it took over an hour from ordering to getting our entree. They knew we were there to celebrate our anniversary and seemed to be unwilling to try to make up for any of these unfortunate things that we were having to accept as part of our dining experience. We will not be going back.

This is a wonderful place! Amazing wines, incredible food, friendly seamless service! I sat outside on a warm September evening, near the herb garden in the front. Fresh mint was clipped for drinks. My drink special used seasonal peaches in a spicy peach margarita! So yummy. I got a great bottle of wine! Pumpkin flatbread was my first special - oh my! Sweet, savory, chewy not just for jack 'o lanterns! I also had a house salad- really fresh mixed greens & veggies with house made dressing! The main course was a perfectly seasoned & dressed pork burger w brie on a house baked bun! I was told I missed out by skipping the fries- but ---Finally a pear opera cake- this was amazing! Portions are big, so I can have lunch tomorrow?
