3 stars because the staff was friendly, and the restaurant was clean.
Deductions-
Smelled that great flame broiled scent walking in, then the burger wasn't cooked under a broiler, it was a basic grilled patty and a huge let down, the bun grilled, but it all came out to us cold, nothing piping hot. The mac and cheese tasted doctored with ranch, the sweet potatoe fries had cinnamon or such.
I noted the steaks, but wow, $40 for a steak.

Friendly service and cleanliness is it.

Place was very busy, but I'm sure it's due to lack of options in the area.

Bummer.

We are from out of town and this Rachel’s was recommended. We were all delighted with the food, the service and the quality. The chef has the flavors perfect. Will come back here, definitely.

Rachel's is typically a great choice when choosing a place to sit down and have a quality dish. However, last night didn't sit right with me, I feel I was treated with the minimum courtesy. Every interaction staff had with us was off, they were very short and acted like they just wanted us to leave. I left Rachel's feeling like I've had better hospitality from a Waffle-House. Food was great, ultimately; left disappointed.

Fantastic food! And so nice to be able to support a family-owned restaurant with a wonderful staff and service. We loved the food so much that we ate there twice in one day! We are picky eaters too as a restaurant owning family ourselves.

The salmon chowder was delicious on a cold Fall day. And the pork belly rice bowl was amazingly flavorful.

We came on Sweetest Day and enjoyed their special menu which included prime rib and filet mignon, which were cooked to perfection!

We tried three desserts: pumpkin cheesecake, cream brûlée cheesecake and the homemade rice pudding (made fresh and served warm). All were spectacular with a special nod to the rice pudding.

We drove three hours to try out this place and we are already talking about coming back!

P.S. There is a highly acclaimed film called, “Bad Axe” about this restaurant that was on the shortlist for an Oscar—be sure to check it out on Prime Video, Hulu, or Disney+.

Stopped by after watching the remarkable Bad Axe documentary. Thought the family was awesome while watching that, so I was not surprised about the awesome service and food.
