I was very disappointed with the food. Every time I heard of this place it sounded great, but when I actually went myself I was shocked. I ordered chili fries, there was literally 5 fries in a HUGE box, just lathered in so much chili it looked, smelled, and I dare say tasted like dog food. It was seeping out the box all over as well. Our onion rings were soggy and wet, and our fries were either soggy, or rock solid. It was a sad experience. My boyfriend ordered a burger, the bun was sopping wet, and the burger was not fully cooked. I will say the staff was very friendly. I’m just not sure about the food, seemed very poor quality, cheap, and gross.

This is an awesome spot to go get some grub. It is exactly what you would expect a small town tavern to be except it is exceptionally clean which is so refreshing. Both the men’s and women’s room is so clean. The service was great our waitress was hustling. Comparing the food to fine dining it is just okay but that’s not what you should expect when you come here.

What a great dinner! We happened to find this gem while visiting the Thumb beaches and staying in Bad Axe. It was luck that it was all you can eat fish that night. She had the walleye. It was so good and lightly breaded to perfection delivered still sizzling hot. The term eat where the locals go was a perfect setting and it felt like being at the farm family dinner. Beautiful building and lovely place. This restaurant needs to be on the higher part of the list on Michigan restaurants. It's on my top 5.

Cod fish and chips were good, but I question if it is actually cod. It was not the large chunky, flakey, all white fish which I am used to being cod. I think it was more like Pollock.
The service was absolutely horrible. Never in my life have i ever had such a rude server that i couldn’t even leave a tip. She bullied me to the point of tears. It was the old lady with blonde hair and glasses. She needs to be fired immediately!!

This is the worst service I have ever received in my entire life. Our server was insanely rude I mean ridiculously rude for no reason. She threw our food at us got mad when we asked about the menu items and never once asked us if we needed anything or how the food tasted. I couldn’t believe the way we were treated. Every other table around us also said the same thing they weren’t leaving a tip and they were never coming back and we did the same. Never in my life have I not tipped my server a minimum of 20% and she got nothing. My advice is to find somewhere else to eat don’t waste your money here. -100/10 service and the food is not great either.

You have got to go here!! The food, the atmosphere, the price are all spot on. The only thing is the acoustics, it's really loud. A drop ceiling might cut some of the noise.
