A warm and cozy place with friendly staff. Serves a great product! Definitely a place to visit in this quaint little town!
Love the mead hall, the product is gluten free and always good.
Great mead in a super cute place. Highly recommend
Came here with my wife, father and mother in law about a week ago. What an awesome place in such a little town! I like the woody interior that's a lot bigger than it looks from the outside.
Each of us got a mead flight. And for $6 I think that's an amazing deal! My favorite ended up being the Odrerir, a traditional mead. We ended up bringing a bottle home and I got a glass of it while there 👍🏻 And the owner, Dave, is really chill and easy to talk to.
There's also vendors in here! There was a honey, art, freeze-dried candy and metal artwork vendor. We bought some lemon Honey and some freeze dried skittles and caramel apple pops home. The vendors were really chill too, they'll let you sample anything!
This was a fun experience for the whole group and I'd definitely go back 👍🏻
The shop was quite comfortable and the man running the bar was very knowledgeable and friendly. Service was excellent and I look forward to seeing what happens next for the store. Some of the meads were excellent, and some had obviously been around too long. The Herminator and Odrerir are excellent, but some of the other meads were a bit too sour now. I hope the trouble they’ve been going through with their ownership goes well. They make good brews overall.
Absolutely lovely place! Great Mead, and the owner is very passionate, and loves to explain the meads.
We stopped in with the kids for a quick drink. Great tasting meads and the owner was very personable. Will be back!
We don't have a place like this at home! It was nice to sit down and chat with the owner and drink some delicious mead! Definitely worth checking out.
Back in 2019, I was searching for a traditional mead as a gift to my bride's father. Since he is a Norwegian-American, I wanted to honor an old tradition of getting the father-in-law drunk for the honeymoon. However, it can be very hard to find a traditional non-flavored mead these days, let a lone a good one.
After visiting the Great Mead Hall and tasting their mead, I knew right away that their mead was exactly what I was looking for. I bought a 12-pack crate of their traditional mead (Odrerir), and my father-in-law loved it!
I'll add that their flavored meads are also fantastic. I tried several during my visit, and I plan to buy some on my next trip to Bangor.
Friendly owner, great to talk to and learn from.

Wonderful product. David was very knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions asked. A must stop on any travel to the area!
Apple cider never tasted better. I am particularly fond of the pear. Stop in and throw darts coming soon. In the tradition of the Vikings. Tell them I sent ya.
Really great place to hang out, lots of different meads to try, and awesome friendly staff!
On a windy rainy day we found a fantastic place to have amazing mead, great company and look forward to our next visit.
