Good local burger joint, and authentic American car-hop service. A real retro treat from a time when exhaust smell and burgers with fries were part of the American dream! I really wish they would bring the local Jilberts brand ice cream back.
Excellent prices for an old style drive in experience! House made root beer is fantastic! This place blows most burger joints out of the water. Its definitely a childhood staple for any family in the area with their ice cream menu and carbide service right next to lake superior. One of our favorite family owned places to stop when we visit!
The vibe and service were on point, so that made up for the rest. I got the cheeseburger—patty was straight, but that potato bun? Nah, not for me. My wife chomped a regular burger, ate it up, so I guess it was chow. All in all, it was........, could’ve been better.
