Friendly staff. The menu is not very up to date on google or I was looking at the wrong one. Thr pizza has a soft middle and a very hard bottom. The crust is very hard.
Best pizzas I’ve ever had!! While visiting my mom we tried a take-n-bake pizza—It was excellent! We have tried the House & Hog pizzas, and I have now found my new favorite pizza place! Conveniently located off Hwy in Baraga! Definitely will be a must each time we visit!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1st time in would definitely come back.

We were passing through on a Friday night and delighted to discover that Irene's was still open. We enjoyed the thin crust pizza loaded with cheese, pepperoni and sausage. The staff was friendly and attentive. We enjoyed our pizza and the local atmosphere.

The first thing I did was check out the bathroom. It was small but clean. The price of everything was a little more than I expected, but the local area did not have much to offer. There was a casino, a hotel, and a food-filled gas station.
After ordering my pizza, I was told there would be a 35-minute wait. I was not in a hurry, so I caught up on emails and messages. They came out with the pizza; every table had paper towels for napkins. The menu had tacos, subs, burritos, and pizzas. I ordered the meat pizza, which they called the whole hog. It was good, but it did not have much marinara flavor. I ate what I would typically eat in a 14-inch pizza, which was 1/2 the pizza. They did not ask me what food I wanted, so I assume they only had one type. It was thicker than a thin crust and a sturdy crust. The pizza was served hot but not scalding to burn the roof of your mouth.
The area was not loud, so you could talk. Many people came in to take orders out. Also, there were families there. I saw parties of 8, 4, and 2, and I was by myself. I believe the place could sit 24 people.

Nostalgic place for me, we'd go here every so often growing up and it looks exactly the same. Good pizza and breadsticks. Not a ton of seating but our big party could be accommodated.

Phone call was fine. Had a very, very long wait (an hour and a half- but to be fair, it was a holiday weekend.) Staff inside were ‘prickly’- not very friendly at all. Premises seemed ‘neglected’. Cash only….. Huh!!? Was willing to overlook all that for “the best pizza ever!” Nope! The pizza was NOT that good, not even close. Overcooked and incredibly salty. Maybe an off night..? Seems to have a lot of 5 star reviews, but there are a lot of people who shared our experience, too.
