Had a great experience with a tasting from Emily! Can’t wait to go back!
Had a wonderful experience here! She was so knowledgeable on the wines and did a great tasting. Suggesting things we may like according to our tastes and had very generous pours. After we enjoyed some cigars they offered and a couple glasses outside looking at the beautiful landscape. Definitely recommend!
What a fun, and tasty treat! Such a friendly, informative owner. She was so sweet, and so was my wine!
Thank you for making this leg of our trip so enjoyable. Great lots to camp overnight.
We stayed as harvest host members here. We did a wine tasting and enjoyed all of them Mary poured. We liked that they grow all the grapes used, right on their property
What a great time wine tasting with Peggy. An awesome unique winery and she knows great places to eat in Escanaba, too! A winery gem!! Thanks Peggy!!
Beautiful venue to enjoy wine. Peggy was very hospitable and knowledgeable. Definitely a great stop on your wine-tasting journey! (Located somewhere between 2 time zones)
This is such a wonderful little winery. I brought my small children and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The wine and atmosphere are delightful!
We had a great time today with Emily. What a hidden gem of a winery. Left with a handful of various wines to take back to central Wisconsin. We will make this a regular stop when visiting Island. Thank you, Emily, for making our visit so enjoyable.
I LOVE this place, everything from the wine, the view, the staff, and owners. I wasn't much of a wine drinker but I fell in love with just about their whole line up of wines. My favorite of the whites is Ragazza Di Sole. My favorite from the reds is Pater Familias. The Rubarb is also a must try. All the grapes are grow and processed right on the vineyard.
Nice hidden gem. Wines made from hybrids and very nice. Kudos to the vitner!
Pretty setting. Definitely will stop by when next in the area.
Come taste for yourself and enjoy sipping a glass outside under the Nothern Sun.

It's such a cute place. The staff is so friendly and welcoming. The wine was delicious. I can't wait to enjoy the bottle I bought. It's definitely a place to check out.
Tres Magnifique!
The wine maker knows what they're doing. Their white wines are impressive and the reds are young but great as well. If you like your reds light then these are for you. If you prefer heavier then you can let them sit on your wine rack for a couple years. Thank you for a great tasting.

What a beautiful location with an outside wine tasting area where you are surrounded by the vineyard. Melissa explained to us how they are an estate vineyard and all of their varieties are grown there. All the wines are made there as well. My husband and I tasted six or seven of the different wines before choosing to purchase quite a few bottles to take on our travels with us. Highly recommend this sweet vineyard. Also if you are familiar with the harvest host program, know that they are members of that as well.
My wife and I made it a point to stop at Northern Sun Winery this afternoon on our way to Mackinac Island. We like supporting family owned and run wineries whenever possible. The winery’s new owners welcomed us into their small but friendly tasting room where we each got the opportunity to taste three wines of our choice (white or red). We enjoyed the nice conversation with Melissa, one the owners, where we shared with her our preferences and talked about Connecticut wineries that we also enjoy. We purchased their Leon Millot and their La Crescent which we both enjoyed and wanted to enjoy respectively with a nice dinner and a charcuterie plate while at Mackinac. I say get off the beaten path and support this little family winery; and enjoy some of their good wines. Cheers!!
