Moonrakers has a great atmosphere and a lot of potential. The burger was tasty, though the Texas toast bun was a bit on the greasy side. Fries were mid-to-above average but could’ve used a little more crunch. The appetizers, however, were quite good and nicely presented.

The presentation overall is creative—food served on baking sheets and in metal baskets adds a fun touch. The dining area was clean, with plenty of TVs and a comfortable vibe. The bathroom was spotless and impressively well-kept, which always stands out.

Service was friendly but stretched thin—only two servers were covering around twenty tables, so there were long waits for drinks, food, and the check. The view out the back is lovely, overlooking a creek, and I can imagine it being an excellent spot in the summer with yard games and outdoor seating.

With a bit more staff and some tweaks to the food texture, Moonrakers could easily rise from good to great.

Had a nice dinner with the wife tonight. Service was great, no issues there. I had a ham and cheese melt with a cup of chili. My wife had ribs and fries. My chili was barely warm, the ribs were tough, and the fries could have been cooked a little longer. My sandwich was really good. Not mad about dinner, but for $25 per person it should all be great. I didn't complain in the restaurant, and I'm not trying to drive away business, just hoping to let them know to step it up. If you are charging premium prices, the experience should be premium.

super cute place! stopped off the highway during my drive to detroit from chicago and im glad i did! clean, friendly, fast service and good drinks!! Madyson S was my server and she was an absolute doll. Quick to help me with my baby as a traveling single mom! Definitely recommend and will be stopping again on my next trip!

Ordered perch basket. Perch was cut to approximately a 1/4 inch thickness, then heavily battered and overcooked. Could barely cut it because it was so leathery. Mac and cheese was gooey Alfredo with couple chunks of cheddar on top. Husband’s fried shrimp were battered in thick crunchy coating that literally scraped your mouth as you chewed. When waitress came with check, I told her how disappointed we were and why. Her response was we should have said something earlier. She was only one of two waitresses we saw for whole restaurant. We won’t be going back. They had a nice atmosphere, but really not good food. Waste of money.

Why do some restaurants give you a few fries and you can count the number you have by a glance and other places load you up. Potatoes are relatively cheap compared to other items, so load the plate for the price you charge!
